That's it really. Daft script which had me laughing.

Yrs, I thought so too. Ridiculous. I couldn't concentrate on it at all.

Was it supposed to be in the style of a film noir? I was trying to explain to dd, but words failed me.

It was utterly dismal. Far too try hard and failed in every way. I was so looking forwards to a rare night in and watching this and was seriously let down grrrr!! Also just distracted the entire way through.

No doubt about it, it was quite odd.

New scriptwriter? Mixing up the usual fairly samey storylines?

But Dr Hardy I very lovely even with a hat and trench.

Getthewonderwebout Sun 12-Jul-15 10:28:04

Is very lovely

Not watched in years , Used to watch Holby until 5 or so months ago , ,got bored with the sameness. Felt it had had its day .

I look forward to Casualty but turned it off after 10 minutes last night.

FelineLou Sun 12-Jul-15 12:51:01

I thought it was silly and not at all interesting. Antone who tolerated that much DV would not commit murder. And why drug Dr Hardy?
I enjoy the true to life scripts where real people need more minor treatment but too often the staff and friends need treatment to save on extra casting I suppose.

I look forward to it everyweek.. (particularly dr dylan keogh, could watch a full hour of his mardy arse sexiness grin ).but last nights was diabolical. I actually think they are trying to be too clever but failed miserably with that.

EastMidsMummy Sun 12-Jul-15 23:01:07

Casualty is always ridiculous. Rotten show.

addicted2cake Sun 12-Jul-15 23:01:40

Just watched it and yes, it was sooooo weird!
Saw an advert before it started tho for gbbo! Now that's exciting! Starts soon apparently, anyone know when?

Writerwannabe83 Sun 12-Jul-15 23:08:25

I've got it recorded in order to watch tomorrow but can't say this thread has given me much hope grin

YANBU. I turned it off and read Jane Green's new novel instead.

MerryInthechelseahotel Mon 13-Jul-15 00:17:29

'Twas rubbish!

FabulousFudge Mon 13-Jul-15 00:22:38

It was awful! I hate it when they do random episodes like that.

CarlaJones Mon 13-Jul-15 00:23:33

Yay! GBBO!

CheeseBaguette Mon 13-Jul-15 00:32:15

Last night's episode was beyond ridiculous. Just fucking awful. They need to sack the "Hollywood" aspiring script writer that is messing with it.

Summerisle1 Mon 13-Jul-15 01:14:04

It was fucking dreadful. I was particularly pissed off to be presented with this dross when I was already wishing that I'd gone to a local festival. So sitting down to this excuse for a watchable programme seemed like the ultimate insult.

coffeeisnectar Mon 13-Jul-15 01:24:53

The best bit was Dylan's line about the cheese sandwich.

Utter shit the rest of it.

mrstweefromtweesville Mon 13-Jul-15 01:26:10

It was terrible. I didn't find it funny.

Summerisle1 Mon 13-Jul-15 01:37:27

Funny? It was sodding tragic.

monkeysox Mon 13-Jul-15 08:00:39

I liked it, was a nice change. Escapism.

WayneRooneysHair Mon 13-Jul-15 08:03:57

Apparently they were trying to copy the style of Frank Miller's Sin City, not that I watch Casualty but I did hear about it.

I did watch it through to the end, but only in case something happened that was important to the rest of the series. But the whole film noir/Sin City thing pissed me off mightily.

Zara - you are spot on about Dr Keogh and his 'mardy-arse sexiness'!
