My 4 year old has just marched very purposely down the stairs wearing my worst, oldest, biggest pants over his trousers and announced 'nanny your controlling' to my MIL.

YWNBU. That is all.

Shamedbya4yearold Sat 30-May-15 11:23:47

AIBU to also give 4 year old up for adoption?

Fatmomma99 Sat 30-May-15 11:26:18

No. A clean break is the only way.

KittyVonCatsworth Sat 30-May-15 11:28:12

Was going to suggest adoption as a future mitigation plan. Dogs are nice. And loyal.

Put ds on eBay, free to a good home, one lady owner etc. Then run for the hills.

I think you should keep the 4 year old. He appears to have great comic timing and will probably become a famous (rich) comedian. This will probably come in handy when you reach retirement age and you can guilt trip a comfortable retirement out of him.....wink

Stitched up by a 4 year old. Remember that as future ammo when he brings his first girlfriend home.

KittyVonCatsworth Sat 30-May-15 11:31:03

Have you seen those really talented dogs on BGT though....

NobodyLivesHere Sat 30-May-15 11:32:16

I will take the 4 yo off your hands.

You may keep the controlling MIL.

KittyVonCatsworth Sat 30-May-15 11:32:57

Obviously you could get the same MIL/visitor embarrassment....

Shamedbya4yearold Sat 30-May-15 11:38:33

Haha, dogs not always so loyal after all! NobodyLivesHere you are on, I make no promises for his future behaviour, he is clearly some sort of sociopath.

diddl Sat 30-May-15 11:40:58

Hahahahaha.
<helpful>

He's a star

Is it true, & if so, will she get the hint??

HeartsTrumpDiamonds Sat 30-May-15 11:42:09

OMG Kitty shock grin

OP I used to regularly want to sell both DC on eBay. YANBU.

Shamedbya4yearold Sat 30-May-15 11:51:51

It is totally true, as for getting the hint, I think he'd have to be a bit more direct ; )

KittyVonCatsworth Sat 30-May-15 11:54:16

Can I please stress, this is not my dog, nor is it my dildo! 'twas just a random pic to highlight that dogs are probably as untrustworthy!!

wizzler Sat 30-May-15 11:59:42

and MIL replied .......?

Shamedbya4yearold Sat 30-May-15 12:03:52

Long, awkward silence. MIL 'I think you might be getting your mummy in trouble, now why don't you run upstairs and take those lovely pants off.' I think I then did some vague protest stuttering, but mainly turned a rather fetching shade of deep purple / red.

Royalsighness Sat 30-May-15 12:07:24

God that's so embarrassing I feel for you, I'm still cringing!

ScorpioMermaid Sat 30-May-15 12:11:16

Oh shamed that's utterly awful. yes you must pack a bag and run away now. Take the kid, hes funny grin

Koalafications Sat 30-May-15 12:13:48

Koalafications Sat 30-May-15 12:14:03

Change your name and leave the country. It's the only way.

Once, I was trying to ring my MIL but she wasn't in so I hung up. Only I hadn't. At the next family gathering she advised everyone that her answering machine had captured me singing "there's a worm at the bottom of the garden and its name it's wiggly woo" and then played it to everyone

We are NC now. Not because of the wiggly woo worm, but it didn't help grin

addictedtosugar Sat 30-May-15 12:40:24

Well where did he possibly get a statement like that from? Must have been watching too much TV. Let him have more.

He's a littlestar

wizzler Sat 30-May-15 13:20:58

My DS came back from Nanans and said " Mummy you are so bossy,,, Nanan says Daddy should stand up to you more ".... so it works both ways...
