to be annoyed this woman asked my husband to zip her dress up?

My friend had a house party last night for her birthday. She has a large kitchen so most of us were in there when a random woman asked my husband to zip her dress up as it was coming down at the back.

She was with friends and has never met my husband (or me) ever before.

Aibu to have been annoyed?

Just a bit of drunken flirting. I'd dismiss it as nowt be honest.

Be thankful she didn't ask him to unzip it

RufusTheReindeer Sun 17-May-15 21:43:20

I would be slightly more perturbed if she asked him to unzip it

Was he the closest to her something?

RufusTheReindeer Sun 17-May-15 21:43:51

inn

Cross post grin

FirstWeTakeManhattan Sun 17-May-15 21:46:13

I actually laughed, sorry.

YABU OP.

What the heck were you annoyed about?

WorraLiberty Sun 17-May-15 21:47:17

Maybe he unzipped it earlier? grin

Annoyed? What did you think she'd do next? Shag him over the kitchen table or something?

Do you always try to keep your husband on a tight leash or is that reserved only for parties?

MrsTedCrilly Sun 17-May-15 21:48:37

Nah wouldn't be bothered.. If a woman wants to flirt with my partner then that's her perogative grin If he offered without her asking then that's his!

mynameisvivienne Sun 17-May-15 21:48:37

Maybe he unzipped it earlier? grin

Because cheating is always hilarious confused

FatAli Sun 17-May-15 21:48:38

Really?

Do you have trust issues?

I wouldn't bat an eyelid.

ChristianGreyIsAJackass Sun 17-May-15 21:48:57

Was he the closest person to her?

If so, she needed another human to zip it up, i think you are hugely overthinking it in my opinion.

Salmotrutta Sun 17-May-15 21:49:33

I'd imagine he just happened to be the person standing next to her at the time?

Hardly outrageous or anything...

WorraLiberty Sun 17-May-15 21:50:16

Oh lighten up OP

Do you seriously think he might have unzipped it earlier?

If so, then I apologise.

justbloodygreat Sun 17-May-15 21:50:40

I think I'd have to be pretty insecure in my relationship to be annoyed that a (presumably drunken) woman randomly asked my DH to help her with her dress. She probably just asked whoever was closest to her.

ilovesooty Sun 17-May-15 21:50:46

I can't take this seriously. I wouldn't have given it a second thought.

stopeatingbiscuits Sun 17-May-15 21:51:09

Ha. This would piss me off but I would probably consider I was being unreasonable and wouldn't say anything to anyone.

Quite random to ask a strange man to zip your dress up if you are standing with your friends...

Happybodybunny12 Sun 17-May-15 21:51:26

Oh it's flirty though isn't it.

Salmotrutta Sun 17-May-15 21:51:46

Was she displaying other outlandish behaviour OP?

Like talking to people?

WalterMittyish Sun 17-May-15 21:52:28

It probably wouldn't bother me at all. Did she do it in a flirty way? Did he seem overly eager to get his mitts on her zip? Did she seem drunk/attention-seeky/generally a bit crap at judging social appropriateness?

Context is everything in a scenario such as this.

stopeatingbiscuits Sun 17-May-15 21:52:37

I guess I mean I cannot imagine ever doing that myself in those circumstances!

TwinkieTwinkle Sun 17-May-15 21:52:55

Errrrm.... YABU.

BlueBananas Sun 17-May-15 21:53:00

There's a lot of drama llamas on AIBU tonight isn't there!
Her zip came loose, she asked a person close to her to fasten it - total non-event
Now if she'd asked him to unzip her, bend her over and shag her up the arsehole I'd say you had a bit of a point

Salmotrutta Sun 17-May-15 21:53:00

Flirty?

Really?

confused

She had a zip problem. She asked a person to fix it.
