Should I wake him up?

Poorly toddler (2yo with diarrhoea) , we were out today and he fell asleep in the car around 2, came home and put him to bed.

He normally naps 2.30-5. Wakes up, has dinner, run around bath time bed.

He's still sleeping at 7pm! (and breathing, I checked!)

Should I let him sleep? DH and I disagree. I say wake him up, little bit of toast and bath then bed. DH says let sleepy babies lie he obviously needs it.

But I just wonder what will happen when he wakes up? I wouldn't feel right letting him have "wake up" time after it had turned dark?

I think I would let him sleep and have a rest myself. If he's poorly you will probably be up in the night anyway with possible d and v so he might as well get as much rest as possible.
Sleep is always the best medicine.
