Just added a post to my local Facebook selling page my 1st post since i joined and 2hrs later had a comment so looked and it was from an "admin" putting some picture about not bumping more than once every 8hrs and then commenting asking me not to post more than once and apparently i had another post exactly the same Hmm checked my history and confirmed ive only posted my ad once !! don't know what her problem is AIBU to think these trolls need to get a real job instead of "running" a Facebook selling page all day jumping down people throats like this Confused

What did she say when you pointed out that you only posted once.

Some Facebook page 'admins' get a little full of themselves, like they think they have suddenly hit a senior management position. Ignore Grin

Lol at senior management position! That's so true

Umm i think you need to calm down a bit. You possibly posted twice by accident without realising (maybe a facebook glitch!) or perhaps it came up twice on her feed (a glitch?) either way stop taking it so bloody personally. So what if she has kids? Hmm why cant she also have time to admin the group? Lots of selling pages have these rules. You are really over reacting.

myusernameisusername · 05/05/2015 21:02

well i didn't because i checked my history and the page to confirm this

Fb plays tricks sometimes and double posts but only shows once on your end.

Either way, no need to over react. Its clearly a mistake.

They're not trolls. Don't use the page if you have such a low opinion of it.

PerspicaciaTick · 05/05/2015 22:03

Surely you just say "OK, thanks for the heads up. I had not realised I'd posted twice, no idea how that happened" and either carry on or quietly leave the group.
Instead of getting all excited and starting a ranty thread here to no purpose

Give the poster some leeway. She's cross because a self-important busybody wants to be top dog. Let her vent in peace and go and make yourselves a soothing cup of cocoa.

What's with all the 'admin bashing'? Awful. These people give up their free time to check everything is running smoothly and to assist, OP I'm sure admin would be the first person you run to should you suspect scamming or the like.

How disgusting to comment on whether she has a 'real' job and suggesting that she's not looking after her children. You know nothing about her! I hope admin ban you from the page :).

"She's cross because a self-important busybody wants to be top dog "

You know that how exactly? Hmm wow some people have a real chip on their shoulder to take a standard comment by an admin so personally and create some ridiculous agenda on the admin's part!

Let her vent in peace

If thats what she wanted then the internet was a bad choice wasnt it? Being public and all!

These pages make me howl. Particularly the baby ones as there is argument after argument on there. All petty as fuck.

I got banned from one once. He told me off for not following the rules. I said to my knowledge, I had followed all rules but could amend if I'd missed something. I was told not to be so cheeky, this wasn't my first time breaking the rules and I should read the rules for further clarification. I did before posting but when I went to read them just in case, he'd blocked me from the group. I was as angry as you are so vent away my dear. Wink

These groups are so petty. I don't know who would want to be admin to them for free?

People who's lives revolve around saying "one bump only please" like their lives depend on it it doesn't matter how much you bump everything will still get sold if people want it Hmm

Well if you had any interest in finding out why the rule exists rather than sulking like a child you'd know that the one bump rule is to prevent the page becoming cluttered with duplications by everyone. It slows the pages waaaay down and makes them difficult to use and admin. I found this out by asking, rather than sulking, when i was told the rule.

They still get on their high horses and Lord it over people! Some people are just wankers!

We have a mum at the school gates who is admin of a page and you'd think she was the queen of our town by the way she acts Confused

The admis on those pages are power hungry mentals.

From the way you tell it, she simply reminded you about the no bumping rule, and said that you've posted twice.

Whether or not she's mistaken on this point, I don't think it's fair to say she's 'jumped down your throat ', 'bonked', in need of 'getting a real job', or paying more attention to her children.

I don't think it is her that needs to get a grip.
