Apologies if there's already a thread on this (I can't find one) but why do people care about this? My facebook page is full of people thinking it's great news and I just don't get it. Just another royal parasite in my view.

You care enough to post this?

You don't care about it. So you want to talk about it?

It's fine to not be interested, honestly it is.

No one is going to shout at you for being disinterested.

And do you think people care that you don't care. Confused

YANBU in that you don't have to care, just ignore it if it bothers you.

Yes, it's a baby - this is what you get whenever you object! A baby that will have the very best of everything from now until death paid for by - ? Anyone?

well, sorry, I think I'm allowed to comment when I think people are making a ridiculous amount of fuss about a family that don't even know they exist. Isn't that what MN is about?

Just another royal parasite in my view.

A newborn baby to be described ^ like that is just plain nasty.

Ignore the coverage if it irks you so much.

No one on my FB seems to give a shit. So it's all cool.

You will have to hide their gushing up dates OP. And then hide all the million fawning threads on here.

YANBU

Get some new fb friends if ardent royalists are clogging up your newsfeed with that sort of tosh.

Grin

There is your answer OP. When the pregnancy was announced, ask which of your friends like the royals, remove the ones who do and make new mates. Grin Grin Grin

Well I love love love the news, and can't get enough of the coverage. So YABU to want to deprive me and millions of others, of it. Just switch off/don't read the newspapers for a few days. Like everyone has to when they aren't interested in a particular subject.

I'm a republican as well. A woman I don't know has had a baby and I am not interested at all.

However your use of the word "parasite" is horrible. That baby has no choice inwhat situation it was born into. Hate the institution of the monarchy if you want but referring to a one day old baby as a parasite hurts the republican cause as well as lacks any grace or dignity.

I've managed to avoid it.

But.... I know when Kate went into labour
I know the time she was born
And I know her name

Multiple threads on MN plus local radio obsessed by it.

I feel sorry for her. Born into a world where she will probably never be able to be herself. Everyone should be born free and be able to make their own choices without expectation or limits. Her life will be the focus of media stories, who'll she be expected to marry etc.

Really horrible way to describe a baby don't you think?

Turn off the TV and don't read the newspapers if it bothers you that much.

A baby born into an outdated and parasitical family that should have no place in a modern society. Is that better? Or still filer than a very vile thing that has been on a course to learn how to be vile?
