I have started batch cooking but would like to alternate these with fast meals on other nights so I don't use up 7 batched cooked meals a week! So far I have jacket potato done in microwave with beans, stir fry.......

What else is super fast to cook (15 mins or less)?

Call DH on way home, 60 seconds
Warm plates, 120 seconds
Lay table, salt, vinegar, knives, forks, 120 seconds
Fish and chips arrive within 10 minutes.
That's a max of 15 minutes, perhaps less

You can do spag bol, from scratch in 10 mins if you time it right. Also tuna bake or pasta bake.

Quitelikely · 11/03/2015 19:20

Poached eggs with fried mushrooms and cherry toms.

Parma ham, cherry toms, rocket & Parmesan.

Frozen corn on the cob & fish fingers!

PenguinPoser · 11/03/2015 19:20

Spaghetti carbonara
Whilst cooking spaghetti, make sauce...
2 eggs beaten, Parmesan cheese++, small amt cream, salt and pepper
Quickly fry off some bacon and garlic
When spaghetti cooked - mix all together and enjoy! Spaghetti should cook the egg.

This is what I am looking forward to when not pregnant anymore - have been avoiding just incase of undercooked eggs. Literally takes 15min.

I was just about to say tuna steak and salad! It's so easy and healthy! Also chicken salad is a good one too.

Fresh pasta is a win as it takes two minutes!

stargirl1701 · 11/03/2015 19:22

Pasta with bacon and peas.

Fry streaky bacon.
Put pasta in water.
Add frozen peas when bacon is crispy.
Add creme fraiche.
Add chopped mint.
Add lemon juice.

Eat.

StillinShockAhhhhhhh · 11/03/2015 19:22

Chicken fajitas, fry diced chicken breast, add onions and peppers, add packet of seasoning, takes about 15 minutes

stargirl1701 · 11/03/2015 19:23

And, grated parmesan cheese too, sorry.

MrsBertMacklin · 11/03/2015 19:23

Mushroom & artichoke pasta - chop mushrooms (about 80-100g per serving) and smash and chop some garlic while the water's boiling for pasta and the frying pan is warming some oil for the mushrooms.

Put mushrooms in the pan at the same time pasta goes in the water. Add garlic after a couple of minutes.

In the last two minutes of cooking time, put in artichokes from a jar to warm through and any other fresh flavourings you want (parsley, chilli flakes, lemon zest, pine nuts - if you have some white wine, splash some in).

Before draining the pasta, put some of the pasta water in with the cooked mushrooms to make a bit of a sauce.

Drain pasta, add to the mushrooms, stir everything in, parmesan and seasoning over the top.

I get this on the table in between 10-15 minutes, depending on how grubby the mushrooms are. It's what i eat when I get in late from work.

Pan fry salmon fillets, make the couscous, microwave peas and sweet corn, pour a few spoonfuls of jar sauce over salmon. 15 mins start to finish.
2 salmon fillets can stretch to 4 people with lots of couscous and veg.

PhoebeMcPeePee · 11/03/2015 19:25

Boil a pan of rice with veg stock adding fresh or frozen salmon fillet or prawns & veg to the pan at the appropriate time (I use frozen salmon fillet or prawn & frozen peas, sweetcorn & spinach) - 10 mins
Whilst that's cooking fry some chopped onion in garlic & ginger (pre-chopped frozen again for ease) & chilli flakes if you want heat

Drain the rice & mix everything together add dash or sesame oil & some soy sauce (& if you can be bothered hot fry a beaten egg so it resembles scrambled egg & add to mix). Salmon/prawn egg fried rice ready in under 15 mins.

Spag Bol in 10 minutes?! Noooooo

Princesspond · 11/03/2015 19:25

Macaroni cheese
Pasta pesto with a little soured cream
Spaghetti carbonara (Nigella's recipe, I always keep pancetta and Parmesan in to knock one up if we have nothing else)

someonestolemynick · 11/03/2015 19:25

OK, more like 30 minutes but virtually no effort pasta romana:

Pre-heat oven to 180°c
Clean broccoli and divide into florets (or use tenderstem and save yourself that step). Put into ovenproof dish with some chopped garlic and chilli, pine nuts, parmesan or gruyere cheese (grated)

Bake for 10-15 minutes

Cook some penned or spirelli pasta. Drain but save a cup of the cooking water. Add the baked broccoli, pasta and cooking water (careful not to use too much). Stir in some fresh torn basil.

My absolute favourite cab dinner.
