I guess he dislikes bathroom mats.

Or maybe he has a sense of humour, and had been hoping you'd step on them after a bath.

Oh dear, poor you!

Why do you think he has done it on purpose? Have you offended him in some way?

Did he have free access to his litter tray / the outdoors at the time?

Has he done it before?

My cats have thrown up in various places in the house (lovely!) but have only done a poo indoors when they were stuck indoors and couldn't get out [someone shut them in the bedroom all day] Please do not tell them that pooping in the house is a way of disobliging the staff (i.e. me) or they will prob do it all the time ...!

Perhaps he couldn't lift the toilet seats to do it in the proper place?

It's basically a cats way of saying fuck you isn't it

I mean if it was one mat, perhaps I could understand, think maybe it's an accident
But he must have done that on purpose, to do it in both rooms and both times on the mat

I have 4 bathmats. Three of them are cheap ones from Ikea which go in the washing machine and come out almost dry. The other is a really expensive striped one which takes about 4 days to dry, and even then benefits from a night in the airing cupboard. Guess which one is my cat's favourite alternative to the litter tray? Grin

That's the weird thing, what have I done to piss him off

I honestly do not know, he's not normally allowed upstairs and we have stair gates up as be have a mobile baby!
So whenever he's gone up there, he couldn't have been up there long, because I never caught him upstairs

The other day I came home from the school run a bit earlier then usual, when I came in the door he ran down the stairs, see he knows he's not allowed up there, but I never noticed it, it was only noticed tonight when one of the children stepped in it, and then stArted going arrrggh I've got brown stuff on me , spreading it around
Ffs

So he's either done it today or possibly yesterday

But I really do not know why he has done this
He hasn't been trapped in, and the fact it done it in two places. Aves me think this is defo not an accident

Jealous of the baby? Marking his place upstairs I would guess.

You: Don't go upstairs Cat.

Cat: Oh I will go upstairs. And I will shit on your precious upstairs things.

"Maybe he doesn't like your grammar Wink"

Maybe he has a phobia of people who don't use full stops on MN. Wink

Ignore the bullies, rabbit. They must have sad little lives if all they can think of to do is pick on grammar errors.

You cat may be suffering from stress of some kind. This article may help you to identify it:

Hmmm I reckon it's because they're a bit moist and stinky ? Not castin aspersions on your hygiene but bath mats usually do have an odour if you really sniff?
Actually, when you think, it's pretty damn considerate!

My cat came in earlier, farted, then walked out again - smirking.
She went outside and watched my reaction from the windowsill.
I don't know why she does it, probably becuse she can.
Angry
Ignore the grammar wankers.

your cat is a bastard.

As is mine, who occasionally shits in my plant pot instead of the tray, which is definitely ON PURPOSE. The fucker

Actually, mats are probably just a taste of things to come.

I'm sure I've read of someones pet pooing in the family's shoes or wellingtons. I'd cry, I think.

Poor rally. She did give you a Wink face. Surely a Wink face negates anything rude said before it? Confused I'm just enjoying using so many faces. Blush

Correct grammar is one of very few things I have to offer the world, but I like yours. I think it's very expressive. Smile

I do not have a cat. But I would be pissed off if anyone shat on my Cologne & Cotton bathmat. Angry
