My mil blocked my drive on my wedding day whilst wearing a white flowing dress with a car full of uninvited family members?
Does this cover it? Parking, weddings and mil? All my favourites in one great thread!
Need to know what happens next!

My Mil did the same, she then came into my house and gave my DC fruit shoots and macdonalds Shock

grumpyoldgitagain · 27/02/2015 23:26

You put a carbomb under it and asked her to nip to shops

No more mil or car in the way

MrsTawdry · 27/02/2015 23:27

A cyclist almost knocked me over outside the church and then at the reception my DS wanted to wear his sister's bridesmaids dress...so I let him...he's only 3! He won't catch the gay.

ArmyDad · 27/02/2015 23:27

If only this was a TAAT.

catzpyjamas · 27/02/2015 23:28

What was your DH doing through all this? Lying on the sofa or doing his contracted 42% of the household chores?

Samcro · 27/02/2015 23:30

did she park in a disabled bay whilst breast feeding and drinking a fruit shoot though? mine did

pressone · 27/02/2015 23:30

Was the dress white or cream or ivory - maybeeven blue and black - are you sure it was white?

hiddenhome · 27/02/2015 23:42

Yeah, but is your MIL a dog or cat person?

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 27/02/2015 23:53

Was it a 4x4?

Discopanda · 27/02/2015 23:54

My MIL wants us to use the family penis beaker but I'd rather get one myself instead of feeling obligated.

Sister77 · 28/02/2015 08:32

It was a gas guzzler.
My "d"h was waiting at the church with my DM, DSD, DF, DSD, exDSD, ex DSDDW.
He left the dishes in the sink this morning. Works 3 jobs, gets kids ready and drops them to school, comes home in his break on an evening, picks them up from after school club, baths them, gets them ready for bed and puts them to bed.
Cleans the house at the weekend (the cleaner does it in the week), puts the rubbish out, does the gardening and expects me to do everything else! Lazy twat couldn't be arsed to put them in the dishwasher!
Still don't get enough in benefits, he's not bringing home enough "declared" income!

It sounds like things are getting a bit much, OP. Can someone look after your dc while you go for a spa day? Alternatively you could put your MIL in a sling and try co-sleeping with her?

Royalsighness · 28/02/2015 11:13

I'm actually crying at every post! I love you all! MIL IN A SLING! Grin

bohoec · 28/02/2015 11:23

It does all sound a bit much. Perhaps go and get your colours done to cheer yourself up?

YokoUhOh · 28/02/2015 11:25

Your MIL is toxic and her car is in the FOG. Offer her a cutted up pear and invite the small oriental lady in your garden to to install a rear-facing car seat for your 10 year old DS.

Sister77 · 28/02/2015 11:42

Should I feed her breast milk?

OP posts:
MetallicBeige · 28/02/2015 11:54

Yes, and squeeze a bit in her eye to combat infection.

Why not attempt to make amends with a lovely batch cooked meal from your freezer? Or you could throw a 'make up' party and make an entire buffet from one chicken? Chicken pie, chicken vol au vents, satay chicken, chicken strips, chicken rice, sliced chicken open rolls, chicken pasta salad, you get the idea? You can use the carcass for stock for a lovely warming soup another time...

InfantHercules · 28/02/2015 11:58

MIL in a sling! Grin snort

oldgrandmama · 28/02/2015 12:01

My first wedding (1962), the groom's dad groped my mum in the car from the church to the reception.

This is true, by the way!

If you'd managed to throw in being "wendied" at some point, you'd have got the full deck.

Momagain1 · 28/02/2015 12:04

You would be so much more comfortable if you had a properly fitted bra, OP. Especially if you are going to have MIL in a sling.
