I think it's a moral panic about the decline of the English language. It just hasn't been expressed, which is slightly ironic.

The thread title needs a capital letter.

Bing?

I could only find on Google the CBeebies 'Bing Thing Meets The Toilet Train', which can't surely be what the op is referring to?

Or is she/he ancient and is talking about Bing Crosby?

Bing is great.

He doesn't speak the Queen's English because he's a preschool aged bunny, and he talks like a preschooler.

Report
usualsuspect333 · 28/01/2015 19:56

Ah, is OP complaining about a bunny who doesn't talk proper?

CanISayOfHerFace · 28/01/2015 20:00

I love Bing and the way he speaks but hearing Flop's voice come out of Thomas Cromwell is really ruining Wolf Hall for me.

Report
ithoughtofitfirst · 28/01/2015 20:00

Could he be any more grammatically incorrect??

I LOVE FLOP THO.

I like Bing, but the consistently bad grammar and mispronunciations really grate. I find myself correcting him in the hope DD doesn't learn from him.

Omg flop is in wolf hall? That's seriously messing with my head. Are Pando and Sula too?

Our DD's grammar went to pot when her Bing obsession peaked. She seems to be back on track no that he's not her favourite anymore thank fuck for that

I don't understand why they say "I-e-chi" instead of "bless you" when someone sneezes.

CupidStuntSurvivor · 28/01/2015 20:55

I imagine Bing's grammar will vastly improve once his character is portrayed as being older than 3.

DD absolutely loves Bing, so far her grammar hasn't been negatively affected but it does grate on me a bit

DGD adores Bing - me, not so much...
But oh how I agree with CanISayOfHerFace that Flop's voice coming from Thomas Cromwell is just weeiiiird...!!! Shock

But why does Pando wear pants?! That's MY question....

DS loves Bing, but calls him "Bing Bing". And yes, the "I-ee-chi" was incredibly annoying today.

seaoflove · 28/01/2015 21:36

Pando can regularly be seen taking off his yellow shorts and discarding them.

Seriously, I know a lot about Bing. I am forced to watch a LOT of Bing.
