Yup. It reminds me a bit of when I was pg and I could feel baby moving.

I also get it in my leg, behind my eye, and sometimes my wrists.

WiIdfire · 27/01/2015 22:12

You are feeling your aorta - the main blood vessel that supplies the body. It is about 2cm diameter so pretty hefty. If you are slim, this is quite normal to feel it!!

Whitegrenache · 27/01/2015 22:12

If you feel a pulse in your abdomen it could be an abdominal aortic anurysm. Get it checked out x

Heebiejeebie · 27/01/2015 22:12

It's normal. Especially if you are thin.

WorraLiberty · 27/01/2015 22:13

Yes, when I lie flat on my back.

PassMeTheFrazzlesPlease · 27/01/2015 22:14

I can see it in my stomach sometimes, if I am lying down in the bath. Is that not normal?!

bakingtins · 27/01/2015 22:14

I can sometimes if I'm lying on my back. Your aorta runs down the midline of your abdomen, ( above your spine if you are lying on your back, not near your abdominal wall) you get a referred pulse through all your innards. It is a bit freaky.

TattyDevine · 27/01/2015 22:16

Wowsers. I can't feel it! OH MY GOD I'M FAT!!!

whyareallthegoodnicknamestaken · 27/01/2015 22:17

I've been poorly recently and dropped down to 7 stone so I am pretty thin at the minute. Maybe that's why I'm feeling it?

I'm so bloody skinny I can feel my intestines when I lie on my back sometimes Confused

Handy for pushing along trapped wind!

scarlettsmummy2 · 27/01/2015 22:18

Is that what that is! Sometimes I have freaked myself out thinking it is a baby kicking when I know I can't be pregnant!

backwardpossom · 27/01/2015 22:18

ffs don't google aortic aneurism!!!

BunnyLebowski · 27/01/2015 22:18

I'm not skinny and I can see my pulse in my stomach and my wrists.

Newlywed2013 · 27/01/2015 22:18

I get that all the time

TellmetogetonwithmyWork · 27/01/2015 22:19

Mine feels a bit vulnerable through my separated stomach muscles....

IHeartChristmasMoomies · 27/01/2015 22:20

Sometimes when I'm in the bath I can see my pulse wobbling my belly.

From this you will gather I am not slim!

AnyFucker · 27/01/2015 22:21

Yes, I can feel my aorta pulsating i my belly. I can also see and feel food moving through my intestines. Smile

PassMeTheFrazzlesPlease · 27/01/2015 22:23

backward - it's too late, I googled! So, is it normal too see your stomach sort of pulsating if you lie down at look at it carefully? I can't actually feel it.

Something else to add to list of bedtime worries Shock

Oh dont google aneurysm! You are really unlikley to have an aneurysm unless you are an over 60 yr old bloke who smokes with high blood pressure. Young slim women? Not so much.
