...and it's a dark wash. I know I should have checked EVERY SINGLE FUCKING POCKET, but I was rushing AGAIN. Why can't they empty their fucking pockets before putting their clothes in the wash bin. Rant over Angry

My husband does this and gives me the rage.

He now has to do his own washing separately.

My 3 pigs frequently leave utter shite in their pockets along with more shite in the toilets. They are disgusting creatures, you have my sympathy.

AND my DH thinks it's my job to check their pockets, he can feck off at that. And yes I have washed 2 iPods and 1 iphone and they've still not learnt.

I agree, it's very very annoying.

Can you put the things in a tumble dryer to pull the fluff off? Save you washing them again.

Dh does this too. Worse still, he's introduced ds2 to his tissue habit and now there's double the chance of it happening now Sad

Went to Ikea last week and he bought me a clothes roller to remove the 'bits' Shock I shouted at him Angry

Oh isn't it maddening eh? When this happens our cats take cover as I explode and swear and stamp around. Just hope our vicar doesn't hear.

Try an extra rinse and spin. This gets some of it off. Then have you got one of those 'sticky roller' things? They work a treat when the clothes have dried.

Then find your rolling pin and... Grin

Argh! Put it in the tumble dryer until it's filtered off.

you've made me laugh out loud juggling. off outside now to start shaking Sad

Shake it out, put it on a rinse cycle then tumble dry.

I've started being more relaxed over putting stuff in the washing. If I'm in a rush it waits until I'm back from whatever I'm on my way to or I put something I don't need to think about - so towels for example - in instead of things I need to sort, check, do zips up on and so on.

I rinsed and spun again and only half the bits had shifted. Ds went to school with bits all over his sweatshirt. I told dh to remove them.

I went through a phase of washing bloody disposable nappies - OMG the mess Angry

My darling dh (bless his little heart) often puts things in the basket inside-out.
And that's how they stay...!

I've also stopped separating colours from whites, life is just too bloody short. I am a skank.

Theres a black fleece in with it all, and it's not suitable for tumble drying. have put it on cool for a bit to see what happens. the fleece is a right old mess. could be worse, just found a complete one in another pocket.

should've known better when they have colds Angry

Gymbob you need to stop checking the labels, if it's not suitable for the tumble dryer don't buy it. Ever.

I think this needs to become not your problem. If that means DH and DCs have tissue-fluffed clothes that's too bad. Defluff your own stuff, leave theirs.

And how about leaving DH to do his own washing?

What a PITA.

I ended up with a disposable nappy in a dark wash last week. Twas an unbelievable mess to sort out. Had to find & remove nappy, rinse load again, wash load again, tumble everything dry and it is still covered in bits.

one of the kids does that hate. she puts her long socks and tights in the wash in balls. I chuck them back in her room

hellon the offending tissue was in DD1's pocket. Refraining from going ballistic as she's off school today and currently coughing her head off on the sofa.

I'd know if it was dh leaving stuff in pockets, he only uses kitchen roll as tissues. he is weird though Grin

I would be so impressed to find one of my kids was using tissues I might not be too tearful about the washing.
