Juncker, the EU Commission President, was PM of Luxembourg for a long time, during which Luxembourg was involved in some really dodgy stuff relating to tax--basically allowing multinational companies to use it as a tax haven and thus effectively robbing other EU countries of enormous sums of money. This has sort of been known for some time, but new revelations have shown the sheer scale of Luxembourg's behavior, and it's pretty bad.

Juncker has escaped censure this time (despite attempts at protest by a group of left wing and right wing parties who joined forces to criticize him), but I really feel that this affair casts both him and the EU in a very poor light. The guy has insisted in the past that his country is not a tax haven. Yeah, right.....

Does the UK PM ensure all companies (multinational or otherwise) pay their tax bills?

Nope, thought not.

Nothing wrong with being a tax haven. If Luxembourg law allows it why not? Lord knows they've no other way of raising any money. I have no issues with it. Rather I wish the UK Govt. would follow its example.
