AIBU?

AIBU to be fed up of knickers that crawl up yer arse within 5 minutes?!?

Maybe it's my (40-something) age and the fact that I've got a bit fatter (was size 10-12 now 12-14), but I've had enough of flimsy pants! Walking around in public pulling your underwear out of your backside is not a good look. Weirdly, the best ones I found were cartoon Wonderwoman ones from Debenhams! They had really sturdy hems that actually stayed in place. But the last time I bought some they'd changed the fabric and now they've gone all stretchy and useless! Waaah! I don't want granny pants (or hi leg); boy shorts are my favourite style. They definitely have to be cotton though. Anyone got any recommendations? I can't be the only one with this problem can I? Hmm

I found some gap ones that are comfy and staying in place, I also got some sort of french knickers form M&S that great but they don't sell them anymore Sad

M and S Midi knickers - look substantial in the packet but they're not big on

You need proper pants

Thanks chaps. Any links available? I want to check out any recommendations I get! This is a serious issue after all! Wink

M&S multipack cotton high legs. I've tried a couple of different types since I first found these about 25 years ago, but I've always gone back.

Pants are very important. YADNBU.
I do find the shorts are bad for creepy crawling.

I cant stand it when my knickers ride up so I always buy a size bigger than I need, it seems to stop it happening.

It is serious! I have the same issues. I have some full briefs from M&S with a lace top, which are nowhere near as 'full' as their other full briefs, quite nice to look at, and they do not need fishing out of your crack...

Size up stops arse eating pants.

Always do this with swimwear too.

American Apparel shirted back panties - ignore the americanisms. Lots of lovely colours

Tesco cotton granny pants. Definitely Not Sexy, but they stay in place.

Found them (was starting to panick)

If I buy a bigger size in kickers they just fall down and still end up in my crack!!!!

i tend to go a bit bigger for pants, especially if they are a bit lycra-ey

i think any extra stretch makes them more mobile, which leads to more hoiking.

Tesco girl shorts are great but I'm not sure they're cotton but they are amazing. Uniqlo also do some gorgeous really comfy girl shorts. Both my favourites and no riding up.

I was experiencing a lot of crack crawling and going up a size made all the difference.

I get you, OP!! Also, because I'm considerably fatter that yow, I'm sick of pants that roll down my tummy and generally fall down.
Only ones I currently own that don't do this are 3 pairs of Primark synthetic man-repellers. I love them. They were originally white, pink and tan - now they are grey, grey and grey. Bloody comfy though!

I have a constantly hungry bum, probably because it's so big

LOL at catkisser.

I am reading with interest. The other day I started to wonder if the G string wearers were onto something. If your crack has eaten your pants from the get-go, at least you've got that annoyance out of the way.

Another vote for Tesco shorts here!

It's taken me more years than I am willing to admit to, to realise why this happens to me too.

My bum is small and doesn't stick out at all much. It's sort of flattened and therefore a little wider at the outer/lower edges. Ordinary shaped knickers are designed for a rounder cheek shape so it's got to be either shorts or a thong. I've thrown away so many knickers after one infuriating wear!
I prefer pretty matching sets but my favourite fitting shorts are a random leopard print pair that go with nothing. DH calls them my wrestling pants

This is brilliant, so much to check out! Thanks everyone Thanks
Interesting that some people think high leg is the way to go - I've had it in my head that the higher the leg, the more they get arse-gobbled. What do you think? And I have ended up with some one size bigger ones of my fave wonderwoman pants (because they had none in my size) and they were way worse...
