Shock that's alot of money for a lip pallete! But if you can afford it and it's what you want then go for it :)

RedPony · 02/10/2014 15:44

But I would pay by credit card through PayPal then you have two forms of back up if it does turn out to be fake

LadyLuck10 · 02/10/2014 15:45

I wouldn't buy makeup from eBay. It has a reputation for fake makeup especially Mac products.

magicpixie · 02/10/2014 15:45

but I can't even get it in the shop

I would buy it in the shop ifi could

£160 for lipsticks???!!!

ShatnersBassoon · 02/10/2014 15:46

Is it available on any reputable American sites?

AtrociousCircumstance · 02/10/2014 15:47

It's a bit steep, particularly as only three of them will really suit you, let's face it Grin

Pastperfect · 02/10/2014 15:47

The fact you can't get it in the shops should tell you all you need to know Hmm

HazleNutt · 02/10/2014 15:48

how many lips are you painting every day? Shock

Bogeyface · 02/10/2014 15:49

Dont forget to add import tax to it.

thats a bonkers amount of money to spend on lipstick unless you are a professional who will use it for work.

Bogeyface · 02/10/2014 15:53

It will actually cost you over £200.

Total customs value (CIF): £161.20
Duty: £10.48
VAT: £34.34
Total import duty & taxes due: £44.82
Total landed cost: £206.02
This is the total cost of importing, including product, shipping, insurance and import duty & taxes at exchange rate of 1 GBP = 1.62 USD

GemmaTeller · 02/10/2014 15:53

Plus 20% import fees and £8.00 royal mail handling charge

baw70 · 02/10/2014 15:53

They've got them on the US site for $220:

www.bobbibrowncosmetics.com/products/2344/index.tmpl#i.aenqpj1570e9w1

You could use one of those websites that allow you to buy items form US websites, e.g.:

bongous.com/

You may have to pay import charges, but at least you know you'd be getting the genuine thing. I know that there are a lot of fakes on ebay and it would be disappointing to spend that much money and not get the real deal. On the other hand, the seller feedback is 100%, so they might be genuine. Sorry, not much help really!

cherrybombxo · 02/10/2014 15:53

I definitely wouldn't buy it from Ebay, have a look around US stores for it.

YouTheCat · 02/10/2014 15:54

How many of those colours would you actually use?

Just get one or two decent lipsticks in colours that suit you.

OTheHugeManatee · 02/10/2014 15:55

Don't buy it from eBay, no.

I am generally quite happy to shell out for Bobbi Brown slap though

poppysqueak · 02/10/2014 15:56

Hi
Don't forget due to the value of it and the fact it is being shipped from USA you will probably have to pay custom duties also.
I looked on her USA site and it costs 220 dollars but they will not ship internationally.
Do you not find with most palettes you end up using only a small fraction of the colour choices after a while? This one is specifically marketed for professional makeup artists.
Don't want to put a dampener on but it is a huge amount to spend!

professornangnang · 02/10/2014 16:06

To be honest, I would only buy make up from the proper website. Why on earth would you need that many lip colours anyway, unless you're a makeup artist? I buy about 2 lipsticks a season.

TheWitTank · 02/10/2014 16:13

I wouldn't buy make up from eBay. If you genuinely love lip colour and would use a lot of these then absolutely spend what you want and enjoy it! However I do think you should either buy from a reputable site or look a bit closer to home at some other brands. I'm sure most make up brands do a palette?

ithoughtofitfirst · 02/10/2014 16:24

Do not buy that.

DidoTheDodo · 02/10/2014 16:30

Cripes. I thought the price was a typo.
Well, I wouldn't spend that amount of money on some lipsticks, but if that's what you want...

(When they are on your face, no-one knows if they are Bobbi Brown or Rimmel, (an example) so you might as well get the cheaper stuff five times as often!)

Disclaimer: I am well known as a cheapskate.

I buy a lot of make up from Ebay and none have been fakes. I wouldn't buy from America though because you'll get hit for tax etc.

waithorse · 02/10/2014 16:38

I wouldn't buy any make up unless it's from a genuine retailer.

Nulliferous · 02/10/2014 16:40

Fucking hell.

You could decorate a spare bedroom with that, never mind paint your lips.
