Why change 'onto' into 'into'
Is onto such a rare word?
Have I got it wrong -should it be two words?

Mine changes "so" to "do". Every. Single. Fecking. Time.

"SO" IS A WORD!

Stealthpolarbear · 14/09/2014 22:18

Stealthpolarbear · 14/09/2014 22:20

Ah but it's rare. I can go weeks without saying so
;)
Another thing - it's into it's
Not consistently, but when it fancies doing it it makes me look illete.. Illitter...stupid

Taz1212 · 14/09/2014 22:21

Mine does the its to it's as well. Drives me batty! I have to remember to manually correct it every single time it's wrong

Taz1212 · 14/09/2014 22:22

See- it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's!!!

picnicbasketcase · 14/09/2014 22:23

If/of and in/on. Whichever one I want, the phone chooses the other.

WrigleysBum · 14/09/2014 22:24

Ah but it has it's uses. You could have continued with an approximation of illiterate and had AC correct it.

Other than that, yes, it's mostly a shit of a thing.

Stealthpolarbear · 14/09/2014 22:25

I did, do you know how much effort it took to got those wrong :o

MrsCurrent · 14/09/2014 22:27

Willies, I don't wear them on my feet (and I write this a lot oddly so you'd think it would realise!). I also never ever intend to write ducking. Never.

TonyThePony · 14/09/2014 22:28

I once went to text a friend saying 'sorry, can't make it, I'm skint'

Oh no though, my phone thought it made more sense to send 'sorry, can't make it, I'm skintight'

..... Er, what?!

tethersend · 14/09/2014 22:30

I don't know why! when I type a comma! it changes it to an exclamation mark.

picnicbasketcase · 14/09/2014 22:30

Oh and 'feeling I'll' happens a lot too.

TonyThePony · 14/09/2014 22:30

Also, "oh I know, felt like such a teat" does not work as well as 'twat'

MuseumOfHam · 14/09/2014 22:30

Mine makes hard manual labour out of typing anything with an apostrophe.

Also, yes, what is it with deciding you didn't want to say the perfectly normal common word you just typed, like tin. So I confused DH by texting: please get rid of beans on way home. Then confused further, when I realised 10 mins later that I would be going past Lidl: cancel beans, going to Ludlow now. Yes, of course I meant to put the name of a town several hundred miles away whose name I have never typed in my life.

Stealthpolarbear · 14/09/2014 22:31

Just realised if I ever send a joint text with dd and sign it off with our names, allowing autocorrect to do its thing it will finish

Late and alive!!

Stealthpolarbear · 14/09/2014 22:33

Maybe they were a murder weapon
Get rid of beans....no actually I'll move to Shropshire, just to be on the safe side

Stealthpolarbear · 14/09/2014 22:38
