To just lock the door and leave the little shit out all night if he can't follow the house rules?

He just can't follow the rules. I believe a healthy dose of harshness will teach him a lesson. I have two dcs and a dh who have been easy to train. This whurling durbish is a law to himself. Should I LTB??

Aww. But he looks soooooo cute.

Maybe he met a girl and lost track of time?

Tweenangst Sun 17-Aug-14 21:41:47

He is beautiful, and has only three weeks ago come to love with us. My love for him is boundless but he is NOT PLAYING BY THE RULES!!!

NumberOneFan Sun 17-Aug-14 21:42:55

He is far too good looking to LTB
Give him another chance wink

He has made friends with all the cats in the neighbourhood. He's friendly and lovely. I may be slightly giddy in love with him x

Cat flap?

Tweenangst Sun 17-Aug-14 21:44:52

However we have one neighbour who hates him, so of course he has been in her flat every day. I have had to but her many bottles of wine to apologise!

Topseyt Sun 17-Aug-14 21:45:26

Awwww, he is cute. smile

Cats do not follow house rules. They expect you to be their servants really.

We have a cat flap. It was against my better judgment, but we inherited it from the previous owners of our house, and our cat (who we had already had for three years then) took to it straight away. Not unknown though, for us to come down in the morning and find disemboweled field mice, toads, frogs etc. which he had brought back and dumped across the kitchen floor. angry

Tweenangst Sun 17-Aug-14 21:45:28

No chance of a cat flat, we are on first floor!

Tweenangst Sun 17-Aug-14 21:47:44

This is him wishing we had a cat flap

You could try locking him out, but you just know how guilty you're going to feel about it later on and he's left out in the cold......

thecageisfull Sun 17-Aug-14 21:51:12

You need a cat ladder

Pointlessfan Sun 17-Aug-14 21:52:14

Aw bless, what a sweetheart! I'd be letting him sleep on my bed rather than locking him out! Perhaps that is why my own cat is spoilt rotten...

hoobypickypicky Sun 17-Aug-14 21:54:03

YABU. You must dump the DH out the door and allow the bundle of gorgeous fluffiness his side of the bed and his steak dinner.

Tsk. That cat hasn't trained you very well, has he?

Purplepoodle Sun 17-Aug-14 21:55:10

Chuck him out

Salmotrutta Sun 17-Aug-14 21:56:12

You think you've got it hard OP?

My bad boys refuse to drink the fresh clean water we provide in their own bowls.

They drink out of manky puddles and any garden receptacle they come across.

Bastards.

Tweenangst Sun 17-Aug-14 21:57:15

Omg I need a cat ladder!! And also he is now home and sleeping on my pillow. I have never had a cat before and I bloody loves him!

Fluffycloudland77 Sun 17-Aug-14 21:59:00

He is playing by the rules, his rules that is.

You can't lock them out all night, he'll find someone else to love him.

Salmotrutta Sun 17-Aug-14 22:00:38

Yes.

My previous cat used to visit the neighbours and sleep on their bed! shock

thecageisfull Sun 17-Aug-14 22:01:37

catladder.blogspot.co.uk There's a whole blog about them!!!

It's true what they say. The internet is all about cats

Justawaterformeplease Sun 17-Aug-14 22:01:43

He will rob you blind and leave you broken-hearted. DO NOT TRUST HIM.

Vitalstatistix Sun 17-Aug-14 22:01:48

You appear to be under the misapprehension that you make the rules.

Is there something wrong with you? <head tilt> are you alright?

Allow me to explain to you exactly how this works.

You are staff.

Tweenangst Sun 17-Aug-14 22:02:15

Nooo fluffy!! No one else could love him the same <<holds cat to bosom whilst he scratches my eyes out>>
