Five days late. POAS negative. Hormonal mess. Boobs are huge.

Been using condoms and I'm normally pretty regular. I can't be pregnant, can I? Confused

You could be pregnant... Or it could just be a squiffy cycle happens to the best of us!

It might be hiding with mine somewhere..?! And as my dp's female I know I'm not pregnant Grin. About a week late, really sore chest, sobbed like a baby yesterday through a ridiculous film. Nightmare!

Hope we both find them soon...!

It it goes on too long, I would go to your GP, I had a blood test when I had an epic 56 day cycle as opposed to 26days as is normal for me! Nothing showed up, but he was interested in my thyroid etc

Thanks for quick replies. It wouldn't be the end of the world but it would be bad timing. Big family wedding in twelve months and I don't fancy juggling a newborn on the day. Just signed up for a college course and attempting to start a new career.

Also, more importantly, I've just bought a new size B Mooncup which I've only used once Wink

Me too! 5 days late now.

It must be the month of lateness. I wish it would hurry up.

It does happen, maybe the heat has messed up your dates....

It's very likely to be fine. Loads of things monkey about with the timing of periods, emotions, travelling between time zones, age, moving house and stress is terrible.
I'm quite susceptible to stress and I find that my usually Swiss watch precision periods go from a regular 28 day cycle where I can pretty much know to the hour when I'm going to start and finish and how heavy it'll be at any moment to Tampaxageddon. Soon as I'm calm again it's back to normal service.

Probably run away with mine. Lovely hormonal breakout, and my "day before where I can't stop eating" has lasted the whole 5 days Im late...

CarbeDiem · 09/08/2014 10:42

I once delayed mine quite a bit by starting a pretty heavy exercise regime a few weeks before I was due on. It sorted itself out for the next month.

I doubt it. False negatives are uncommon though they can happen. Get a first response brand POAS. If that's negative, you are pretty much home and dry. You probably have a late cycle. It happens.

Oh good OP! Does anyone happen to know why mine are suddenly coming earlier and earlier - it was just 3 weeks last time what is that about? Could it be a very early menopause, my mother had an early menopause?

Could be your age. My cycles got shorter as I entered my 30s so I'm now on the B6 to try and lengthen everything out

Report
Proclean · 09/08/2014 17:41

Oh great thanks Morethan - I will get some B6 I didn't know that helped thank you!

Report
Smugfearnleyshittingstool · 09/08/2014 17:48

I've been taking b6 after this happening to me loads, often a week late, and the last 4 cycles have been exactly 28 days, almost to the hour too! Which means it's shortened and regulated mine as they were always 31+ before. Isn't it supposed to lengthen them?

Report
Morethanalittlebitconfused · 09/08/2014 17:53

It's meant to balance everything out

Report
CarbeDiem · 09/08/2014 18:00

Be careful with the B6 ladies. While it did sort out my irregular periods it also affected my testosterone levels making it go high. That said, I probably took it for longer than I should have.
It's gone back down again since I stopped taking the B6.

More
Through blood tests. I was/am having a problem ttc and got bloods done in April. It showed my testosterone was high so the Dr told me it could be the B6 and to stop it.
I've just had it rechecked last month and its dropped by more than half of what it was. The B6 is the only thing I've changed/removed.
It's still worth a try, even for a few months to see if it helps. It did work pretty quickly for me but I probably just took it for longer than I should have and in a higher dose.

Ah thanks for the heads up. I'm also having problems with TTC which is why I'm taking it and am going to the drs to ask for my bloods to be taken this week
