AIBU?

AIBU to be really, really annoyed with DC?!?!

I just came up to bed and found that DCat 1 has knocked over the glass of water I had on my bedside cabinet.

It's gone all over the special step I have for DCat 2 to be able to get on the bed.

Alright, so the special step is plastic and has stopped the water from going all over the carpet, but I'm absolutely fuming that DCat 1 has been so careless Angry

Its sods law.

Aldi do crates of push up tops 12 bottles of water for 2 quid or asda do 12 bottles for 2.50.

I don't trust glasses of water in this house, it's just not worth it.

Yabu! Cats are in charge and totally ace.

You should thank your cat for laying on your bed. Grin

Ah, knocking over the bedside drink is kittensplay in this house, only to be done if we have carelessly left an expensive pice of electrical equipment (phone, tablet, laptop, alarm clock etc) within wetting distance.

Recently I discovered that despite a clean, well-filled and rarely touched water bowl in the kitchen and a drippy tap in the bathroom (where muddy pawprints and plenty of fur can be left in the basin I have just cleaned whilst lapping), #3 cat likes to stroll into my room at night and DRINK from my bedside glass of water. He will often do this if I am ill on the sofa with a glass of water within reach too.

We use bottled water now too Grin

It was only water though.

What if it had been juice or Lactulose? Shock

Pictures of the cats please Smile

DCat 1 is actually on lactulose, it lives in the kitchen thank goodness, but yes, the horror!!

I frequently wake up in the night to the sound of one of the DCats drinking from DH's water, but usually mine is safe.

I think you're right, I am BU not to have my water in sports cap bottles, I am BU because he was careful not to get it on anything important, and most importantly I am BVU because he is uber-cute Grin

One of our cats drinks water out of dh's cup next to his side of the bed.

Whether or not I tell him depends upon how I feel at that particular moment and whether or not he's in favour Grin

Hidden, yes! I occasionally forget to mention to DH, too

It's a good job he's cute, because he can be a right old shitbag.

Boy cat managed to stand on both parts of a toasted, buttered and marmited bagel today. Cross doesn't even begin to describe DD2 ...

Love your second cat too, absolutely beautiful

Report
dun1urkin · 29/07/2014 23:12

That's so funny but obviously not for DD
Did boy cat want to eat said bagel himself? Is it the feline equivalent of licking the sweets?

I have a pic of that sort of behaviour... No, I didn't let him eat the pizza. It was vegetable, and cats eat meat Grin

Happy I actually know someone who did sneak an additional kitten in under her DH's radar.

He's not very cat-oriented, and she got a second kitten that looked very similar to the first, and it took him some time to notice Confused

So it can be done!
