Yet another-- bit of propaganda -- official picture to celebrate George. We had one for Mother's day and now it's one for his birthday.

And again - she's holding George. I don't think I've ever seen William hold George. Not that I actively seek pictures of them out but you can't avoid them nowadays.

One year old. Bless. Happy Birthday. I suppose it will distract the masses from the crap going on in the world today.

I saw him holding George on the news report this morning.

So YAB inaccurate and U

surely it is a big assumption that what you see in publicity stills represents their day to day reality?

I'm no monarchist, but their job is to be showponies. they are performing exactly as expected in this role. if you are happy with the showpony concept, what's to moan about confused

They'll do what the photographer asks.

Good grief- I despair if MN sometimes! Damned if you do/ damned if you don't! It is a minute glimpse of their life.

Of not if

I carry my babies more than dh. Wow! Hold the front page everyone!!! Mum holds baby twice....

StillStayingClassySanDiego Tue 22-Jul-14 08:14:09

He held him on his Christening day photos, in Australia for photo opportunities.

It's just a snapshot, we don't know what they're like.

kim147 Tue 22-Jul-14 08:14:58

I'm going by the predictable official photos.

And the rather boring coverage of their trip to Australia.

Onesleeptillwembley Tue 22-Jul-14 08:15:00

Kate pfb? The same Kate that swanned off on her second holiday in 2 months leaving him behind?
Frankly I doubt she holds him much away from the cameras. Whilst I accept I don't know her, she's not very 'hands on' in any way. Can't see this being any different for her.

maudpringles Tue 22-Jul-14 08:15:30

Yabu- you dont actively seek pictures of them?
I knew before I opened the thread who the author would behmm

You've got to love the Monarchists on here.

MrsZiegler Tue 22-Jul-14 08:16:19

^there you go OP - a few of Wills holding the sprog in here.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen Tue 22-Jul-14 08:16:34

I thought it was odd on the tour when she was tottering down the plane steps with her heels with George on her hip, apart from that I haven't given it much thought.

DeadCert Tue 22-Jul-14 08:17:17

William was holding him when they came out of hospital.

kim147 Tue 22-Jul-14 08:18:47

I stand corrected. And what lovely pictures.

Delphiniumsblue Tue 22-Jul-14 08:19:19

Thank goodness I am not in the public eye!
A lot of MNetters seem to have nothing better to do than over analyse every situation.

HoneyDragon Tue 22-Jul-14 08:19:21

The republicans are being just as pleasant.

What with this being a parent bashing thread and all.

kim147 Tue 22-Jul-14 08:19:46

But like I said - I actively avoid the day to day stuff and only go by the official ones that get into the media that doesn't fawn over them.

Delphiniumsblue Tue 22-Jul-14 08:26:45

If it is official I dare say that the photographer gives directions.

Pancakeflipper Tue 22-Jul-14 08:34:45

Imagine the assumption making if the father was only seen holding the baby. .....

why am I responding to pointless thread?

kim147 Tue 22-Jul-14 08:39:35

Having just Googled the official photos - well, it seems William's role is to hold the dog. grin

MellowAutumn Tue 22-Jul-14 08:39:43

How the fuck can anyone tell unless you work for themasee m every day?
