AIBU?

...to expect my SAHM iron my shirt.

We are having this discussion over breakfast and I have borrowed her tablet and mn name to pose this question.
She has a three year old at part time nursery and a five month old. I work full time in an office. I offered to iron my shirts but she does them. They are often creased, my opinion, but she feels they are good enough.

For instance one shirt had a creased line down the buttons and I had to wear a tie. I pointed this out.

Am I being unreasonable pointing out the creases?

Well it depends whether she is crap at ironing in general or just reserves it for your shirts

If it's not done to your "standards" then do it yourself.

Personally I never iron. Not sure where the iron actually is ......

Perhaps she does Magic Ironing like I do?
Get off your backside and either do it yourself or find an ironing service.
Or don't wear a shirt.

Offering to do them himself is no good, he either accepts how she does them and thanks her for doing it or just gets on with doing them himself

Yes.

Insist on doing them yourself.

Your sahm would be your mother, but you appear to be talking about your wife.

HE HAS OFFERED TO DO THEM HIMSELF.

You've offered to do them - don't tell her that her ironing is shit just do it. Hide your shirts when you wash them and then iron them yourself.

I'm a sahm and I don't iron anything because I hate ironing. I hang everything up and hope for the best. If dh needs a shirt ironed he has to do it himself. I do the rest of the laundry etc though.
