While looking after their friend Toby while his mother is in labour, not only does she tell Toby he is a big brother the second she gets the text, depriving his parents of the chance to break the news themselves, she then pootles off to tell a whole party full of kids and parents the news. I bet she announced it on facebook too before the new baby's parents, the big thunder stealer Grin.

AND Tony Welch's Dad has to drop Tony off whilst whatshername is on way to the hospital. Would it have killed her to collect the child to avoid the detour in labour?

Oh, yes, she is BU.

In other topsy and Tim news, I noticed in the titles at the end that topsy and Tim arnt even related in real life.. I hope this shocks someone else as much as me!!

I spotted that last week and was briefly outraged for some inexplicable reason. Then I realised it was because I had just sat through an episode of Topsy and Tim...

Hang on, this is on TV now?

My children are adult now and I am used to the books - I could probably recite them even now.

I am also outraged that they are not twins.

And they've been moving house forEVER. Just get on and move already!

Topsy and Tim are on TV ?!? Shock

Are you sure they aren't twins - they were when I was growing up

Report
BeanyIsPregnant · 27/06/2014 18:33

They are twins in the program, but in real life they are just random strangers!!!! They are literally identical, it hurt my head.. I even had to rewind to look at their faces..... I was baffled.

Have they not moved house yet?! I only shoved it on to distract dd so she would attempt to eat her dinner fine parenting skills there! I normally get irrationally irritated and turn it off!!

But they wouldn't be identical if they were twins cos B/G twins aren't identical, surely?

I read these as a child and I remember my mum moaning about how tedious they are. Having sat through every episode about 97 times now, I am inclined to agree with my mum.

Does anyone else remember that they adopt a baby sister called Tansy?

I am offended by Tim's Spock sideburns. In fact I'm offended by the whole thing. Sadly my little boy loves it.

Popularly known as Dropsy and Dim in our house.

They moved house at the end of the last series. When I saw it was back on again I was excited to find out about their new house, except they seem to be back in their old house again and STILL endlessly banging on about moving house Angry

I know an adult Topsy.

My nan had a cat called Topsy...

I am gutted t&t aren't actually twins. My twin dd has proper original Topsy curls. She would make a cute Topsy. Her twin brother however is as blonde as she is dark. So they'd never have made the grade.

It is funny when they barrel in talking about having been at nursery. Er, no.

toefluff that really bugs me too Grin

I can't believe she went out for the day with a friend...and turned her phone off!! Poor Topsy had chicken pox, and wanted her Mum, but the babysitter couldn't get hold of her. TERRIBLE Mother Wink

I want to see their new house, too! We've got an impending move, and I was hoping T&T would get DS through it. That's what they're mean to be good for, isn't it? Being introduced to new concepts and situations, suffering a bit of Angst, getting through it.

At this rate, DS'll be ten and nearly ready for secondary school, and Mossy the dog will be shedding mange all over T&T's Old House!
