Happy for this to be moved to Chat if posters agree but thought I'd start it here as this is where we've all been loitering without permission when we should be doing our housework homework.

So welcome to a new term everyone. Cases upstairs to the dormitories, form lists on the notice board. And you'll all be pleased to hear that even though we've moved to a different location, Joey has tracked us - -down-- moved in next door, so we'll still be seeing too much plenty of her smile

Pick the two plainest ones Doris. Give the rest to Matey. And the make-up. And the high heeled shoes. We don't go in for that sort of thing here.

doris you must choose the three you like most, and the others can be packed up and sent home. Remember to sew clean cuffs and collars onto them. I have problems too; my trunk has come but I don't recognise ANY of the stuff in it. Any Matey doesn't believe me!

Goodness, I'm starving? What's for Abendessen? Hey, I hope it's roast veal.
Do you think it will be roast veal?
It's usually roast veal.

Do you think we should club together and buy Karen the cook a recipe book? For inspiration?

fairnotfair Fri 06-Jun-14 18:48:19

Ooh, it's roast veal! Yum!

SelfRighteousPrissyPants Fri 06-Jun-14 18:49:46

Can I be a sickening middle? I'm going to refuse to speak German in honour of D day.

DorisAllTheDay Fri 06-Jun-14 18:51:50

Down I think that's my second trunk you've got there - the one with the sanpro and hair care products in it. May I have them back please?

Tinuviel Fri 06-Jun-14 18:52:26

Or I could show you how to crochet, Summer. That would be very different although I'm sure that someone will tell me how to do it properly! Why is crochet never mentioned in any of the books? It is very ladylike and refined and you can make lace doilies and everything! I would have thought it would be a very suitable CS hobby.

I do it because I was so rubbish at knitting (but don't tell Jo or I will get an invite to English tea and be shown how to do it properly and told to stop fannying about wasting my time with a crochet hook).

fairnotfair Fri 06-Jun-14 18:53:12

"Sanpro" Dawn? What's that? (We don't even have loos here...don't need 'em)

fairnotfair Fri 06-Jun-14 18:53:52

Sorry, I meant Doris!

CorrieDale Fri 06-Jun-14 18:54:45

Sorry i'm late. My father got engrossed in his research and we missed the boat train. His friend flew me in his private plane to Basle where Miss Dene met me. What have I missed?

fairnotfair Fri 06-Jun-14 18:55:33

<whispers> There's a girl here talking about "sanpro", Corrie.

Anyone else got a relative up at the San? Mine are getting on swimmingly with all the fresh air up and the expert care of Sir Jem and Doctor Jack.

I'm very delicate but Mother is sure the wholesome atmosphere and hot milk will do me a world of good.

I want a window this year. It's not fair, I never get a window. Maybe it's something to do with me wearing my hair in a pony tail?

Downamongtherednecks Fri 06-Jun-14 19:13:27

C'est qui qui parle l'anglais? Payez une amende, s'il vous plait!

curiousuze Fri 06-Jun-14 19:19:22

wilson you better not say 'smashing' in front of a pree, especially Mary-Lou, she's so on the spot

curiousuze Fri 06-Jun-14 19:24:01

To those of you sharing a front with me, I'm terribly highly strung and have a tendency to sleep walk. You'd all better jolly well hope a beetle doesn't get tangled in my hair during mass at our very own chapel.

curiousuze Fri 06-Jun-14 19:24:21

*dormy! Not front.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar Fri 06-Jun-14 19:56:44

My father has begged Miss Annersley to buy herself a cane and use it. Should I be worried ? What sort of school is this?

Wabbitty Fri 06-Jun-14 19:59:11

May I ask who is head girl? Also which dormy am I in? I don't care what the other girls think, I'm going to have my baths chill off (or hot if I can escape Matey's eagle eyes)

CorrieDale Fri 06-Jun-14 20:03:40

San pro? Never heard of it. Verboten slang? A foreign new girl? Hang on while I waggle my ears so I can hear you better...

Whyamihere Fri 06-Jun-14 20:05:39

Well, you're all rubbernecked four flushers, I think I may still be in Inter V, I'm not sure if I'm responsible enough to move up.

EEasterChick Fri 06-Jun-14 20:13:09

I've heard we're all going for a jolly ramble tomorrow along a dry stream bed, then along a narrow ledge along a gaping precipice. With just the school secretary and a couple of prees to lead us! Sounds simply ripping.

Whyamihere Fri 06-Jun-14 20:15:10

Well who's off to the dentist, nothing really bad can happen unless there's a party who's gone to see the dentist.

weegiemum Fri 06-Jun-14 20:17:40

I'm hoping Herr so-and-so will just "stop" my tooth not pull it.

1/3 of the school will be walking down to Innsbruck with me, though, so I'd worry if I wasn't going!

GoogleyEyes Fri 06-Jun-14 20:25:50

Ooh, I'm all over dirt from that horrible soft coal they use on European trains. Me for the Splasheries, and then which dormy?
