I might claw my own fAnjo off, it's so flaming itchy!

Just back from Spain, hideous thrush, not had it in eons, got some cannestan but it's not even touched the sides. No pun intended.

Please help me, I'm still young!

Hot, sore, itchy as a mo fo.

I've had a cool wash in water with a bit of tea tree, slathered on the useless cream, got some cotton knickers on.

Gah!

Keep cool washing, it works wonders, if it continues, go to the GP, because you might get eczema from the itching.

I had a UTI, all the itching gave me eczema. 6 MONTHS, I had of constant itching, it made me so depressed.

If it's awful give the gp a call and see if they'll prescribe you the super strength stuff. Depending on your relationship they might be happy to prescribe off the back of a phone call when you explain canasten hasn't touched it.

Sympathies, I don't get thrush often but when I do it's my fanny feels like it's turned into freddy Krueger.

Pessaries are the only thing that worked for me, cream was a waste of time. Pop out and get one now then use it tonight when you go to bed.

I've heard that yoghurt helps too.
But by god those Ski cartons have sharp edges.

Is it definitely thrush? When I was in Malta I suffered terribly and self-diagnosed thrush. Over the counter I bought a douche thing and iodine which I made into a solution. The immediate feeling of relief was wonderful. It didn't cure my affliction, which turned out to be something else. If it had been thrush it would, I think have helped a lot. Might be worth a trip to the GP? I think I got my infection from the pool.
Much sympathy

Grin at spring

The cream is still good to help soothe alongside the other stuff though.

A few drops of tea tree oil in some warm water applied to the affected area should do the trick, but since the oil remains in droplets on the top of the water give it a thorough 'swish' immediately before use. It's safe even on such delicate areas and a very powerful antifungal (as well as having the antibacterial properties everyone knows about), so very effective against thrush. It's decades since I've had thrush, but doing this solved the problem very rapidly indeed.

I think tea tree oil is something every home should have.

Not flavoured yogurt mind. Nothing fancy like peach activia.

If you're brave mash up a garlic clove with some water and pop the garlicy water on yourself. It will hurt like a mother fucker but it will help. You can pop a clove inside yourself too.

Honestly, it was 3am, I was about to rip my eyes out and this was my saving grace.

Can I mix tee tree and vinegar? Or will I cause some sort of herbalist explosion in my wc?!

Was thinking maybe Rachel's bio raspberry? Fruity mad delicious. I've just googled, and think I can fashion a tampon into a bio yogurt delivery system.

I'm running a tepid bath. I might drown myself.

Heat and damp swimwear is a breeding ground for thrush etc. I usually have a cool bath with salt then mix a drop of teatree into warm salty water in a bowl and use cotton wool to swab my bits. It's hideous when you get it.

Flucanozol tablet! I hate the pessaries, and if I have to have anti biotics for anything then the dr also writes me a prescription for the tablet as well as I'll get a horrid bout of thrush.

Go to the chemist and get the thrush tablet. It will be behind the counter. Job done!

Ooo, poor you! Yes, you can mix tee tree and vinegar. They live happily side-by-side in my kitchen squirty bottle of home-made surface cleaner. No herbalist explosions yet.....
