I have lost count of the threads that have:

hubby
preggo or preggers (except preggers and pen cuz Grin]
hun
mummy
daddy
poor grammar (I done it or I was)

I have never been on NM. So AIBU?

How do you know it's like nm if you've never been on there then?? Wink

GrassIsSinging · 20/04/2014 15:10

Nah. Nobody would ever post such a bitchy thread on NM, hun Wink

Mrswellyboot · 20/04/2014 15:10

Never use nm but I looked at it once and it was a bit colourful for me Grin

I would say they are not the same. If you google or a serious and sensible question, mn comes up. Had never heard of nm until I saw it here.

JuniperTisane · 20/04/2014 15:12

If youve never been on NM how can you make that statement?

I imagine there's a fairly large crossover of users anyway so if you ignore the decor its not all that different.

GiddyUpCowboy · 20/04/2014 15:12

The people who post on NM are very limited in giving good advice, due to the deletions.

MrsRuffdiamond · 20/04/2014 15:15

YABU to think that 'I was' is bad grammar! Grin

3DcAndMe · 20/04/2014 15:16

I find the conversation better over here

Sparklingbrook · 20/04/2014 15:18

I may go over there then. Smile

CadleCrap · 20/04/2014 15:19

It is not a statement, it was a title ( Love the pedants)) it was an AIBU.

I only "know" because of MN posts about NM.

OP posts:
PuppyMonkey · 20/04/2014 15:23

I think you was meaning we was not I was.Wink

CadleCrap · 20/04/2014 15:29

I knew there was one wot I forgot

bldy
F
k

although it is not a word I ever say you can type CUNT

Fcukfifa · 20/04/2014 15:43

I used nm periodically for about 4 years, (have never typed the words 'Hun' or even worse....'bubba')!

I have seen a couple of threads where other posters were talking about mn saying everyone was uncouth, bullies, range rover driving bitches....which made me jump straight on over here! Grin

But I did find the site hard to use and couldn't get to grips with it.

A few days ago I was googling about slugs and came across a thread on here that made me howl with laughter whilst in bed at 2am! The sense of humour is much better here! Also no swear filter!!

Not too sure if the threads are similar yet, but it definitely seems more grown up.

(Do feel a bit scared of (being, been??) told off for grammar though?!!! (Runs off under the table) Wink

HappyMummyOfOne · 20/04/2014 16:51

MN has a few things similar but other things are pole apart.

No colours, no stupid tickers telling people how long until they next ovulate etc, more variety of people rather than mainly one demographic. However NM didnt used to allow swearing which i quite like so see that as a positive.

Its the site HV's recommend but i found MN after viewing it and gathered there would be other sites.

Yup. I blame penisbeakergate.

ItsSpringBaby · 20/04/2014 16:57

Despite the snobbery on here, I've actually come across a few identical threads which have outed the fact that some people (surprise surprise!) use both forums.

JerseySpud · 20/04/2014 16:59

The glitter on NM makes my eyes hurt.

Grennie · 20/04/2014 17:02

There are identical threads on both. I do think generally the intelligence level of posters is a bit higher here, but I think teh differences are being eroded over time.

Anniegetyourgun · 20/04/2014 17:02

We is more growed up. You can swear here and everyfink.

JenBehavingBadly · 20/04/2014 17:03

I'm on both sites. MN is less racist, sexist and disablist and it used to be more intelligent, but that's not so true any more, particularly in AIBU where the cunts live.

JugglingFromHereToThere · 20/04/2014 17:05

I originally googled Net Mums by mistake but it didn't take me long to look further afield Easter Smile - even if I do like my emoticons

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 20/04/2014 17:07

I have noticed more:

Hubby
Preggers

I've not ever posted there, mn is plenty enough for me.

I clicked on a link whilst googling something random and found myself on NM. It was far too fluffy for my liking so I have no desire to venture that way again.

Fizzybangfanny · 20/04/2014 17:09

You lost me at 'poor grammar'

Who the fuck invented the grammar police? This is a site for everybody , not just for people who have fuckng spell check.

You sound mean.

If you dont like it fuck off.
