to think that giant cous cous is like some sort of sci-fi dystopian food stuff

Its little tablets that you cook in water, which change into slightly bigger, chewy tablets. Reminds me of a science fiction movie where you might have a tablet form of nutrition rather than actual food.

That said, its bloody lovely and i can't get enough of it

Do you mean Israeli couscous? I've never tried to cook it but I've eaten it and it's delicious. I have always thought it would have excellent practical-joke applications due to it's frogspawn-like appearance.

i dont know Oscar - its just called giant cous cous but could be the same thing. It does look like frog spawn i agree.

this one although i did have a sainsbury one the MG one is much nicer. DP is late home and there is some sitting in the kitchen waiting for him, but if he is much longer he is going to miss out!

Ah yes, know it well. Cook it every week for packed lunches. Waitrose do a pretty good cheap imitation, but didn't know about the Sainsbury's one.

If you feel the urge to make a volcano out of yours, best go back to eating mashed potato.
