while out shopping with my 8 month old we walked passed a Greggs bakers and noticed a woman come out with some pasty's. she took a bite out of one and then shoved the corner of the pasty into her child's mouth, ok not so bad but this child looked no older than my little boy, would estimated 6-9mth max. why oh why would you give a Greggs pasty to a baby???
I don't care generally how other people feed their babys, bf, ff, baby led weaning, organic, homemade or pouches/jars, but really GREGGS!
aibu thinking this is wrong for a child so young?

Well, it'll put hairs on his chest, if nothing else.

Meh, I can't get upset about a little bit of pasty. Its hardly as if they were giving the baby a whole sausage roll (which would make a rediculous mess!)

Did she actually "shove" it? Hmm

A pasty a day helps you work rest and play.
How much of that pasty do you think they'll actually consume?

If he was hungry and had to eat, what would have made your specifications?

Very normal in NE England. We have had pasty babies since 70s.

baby@greggs would make a fab name for their pre-weaning baby range
the assistant could pre-chew it so that all you had to do was shove it in your baby's mouth

lol insancerre - they could even have purred jars for babies too young to chew it

It's BLW at it's finest. No need to take the pasty home and puree it.

I like Greggs.

A teeny corner of pasty will do no harm.

Meh, nowhere near as good a story as the guy who is suing Greggs because the oven fresh pasty he tried to shag scalded his cock.

I gave my BLW DS a bit of my stottie sandwich from Greggs the other day, he loved it!

Ah so you know do you that baby has pastys for every meal in Gregg's do you? Not just occasionally?

I took kids to McDonald's today. Come and have a go if you think you're 'ard enough! Alternatively find something better to worry about...?
