Quite often when you have a jacket potato with beans it will have a salad garnish on the side. That's ok I think.

YANBU. I often find that if I order a jacket potato with cheese and beans, it comes with a salad 'garnish'. Wrong, wrong, wrong. The salad gets warm and soggy and tends to disintegrate so you can't even separate it out. So you then tuck into your spud only to find green slimy bits interspersed with your beans.

They absolutely definitely should never go near egg and chips. Egg and chips is a 2 ingredient menu of perfection (although one may require a little dab of brown sauce on the side).

You are actually being quite unreasonable to even mention beans and salad in the same sentence Mintyy, for now I have a moderate splayed toe. Half a minute ago I was relaxing comfortably on the sofa but now I have the splayed toe. That's your fault that is.

I love a baked potato with butter, cheese and beans, and then a side salad that I pile on top of the potato so its all mixed in with the bean juice. Mmm.

As a child a wouldn't eat any food mixed together (I had to have jelly and ice cream in two separate bowls) but now I seem to have gone completely in the opposite direction and love a mixture.
