It's the most compelling drama I've watched on TV for ages (possibly since the last series).

Me too, one of the best things I have watched on TV for ages.

My God, Keely Hawes is fecking amazing. I never rated her that much before but bloody hell she is utterly the most brilliant actress. She needs to play complex characters who have a malevolent undercurrent more frequently.

It is brilliant. However what am I going to do when it has finished? I actually won't get to watch until Friday evening - I hope no one gives the plot away......

Another vote for how brilliant it is. I even recorded last weeks and re-watched bits of it to be sure I hadn't missed anything.
I have some ideas or what's going on, but I'm not sure.
I especially like that the people who I think are 'goodies' aren't without faults.

I had a catch up on Sunday/Monday as I just hadn't managed to watch any of it, but had recorded the series. It's so complex and interesting - all the little threads are brilliantly woven together. Everything has a meaning, a nuance, etc.

Agree about Keeley Hawes - when she walloped her drunken neighbour I was so shocked. Remember: don't underestimate her.

Also found out today that Robert Lindsay was originally down to play Mark Dryden, but bailed on day one on set.

I shall be very suspicious of everyone once it has finished!

I'm loving the fact that characters aren't definitively black or white - there are plenty of shades of moral grey in-between. Definitely one of the best TV dramas I've watched.

I'm really enjoying it as well.

Part of me wants it to be Lindseyas I want ac12 to be right.

When Dryden was interviewed I was changing between hating him for having an affair then a little sympathy for being stalked by Lindsey then feeling sorry for Lindsey about the abortion.

But they both seem to have motive for setting the other up!

Love it.

Top drawer TV.

It's astounding telly, the scene with Jessica Raine being flung out of the window truly one of the most shocking things I've ever seen. Then the interrogation sequence last week? Superb.

Thank goodness when this finishes, I've still got True Detective to keep me happy / that also had one of the most amazing scenes ever to be filmed last week. Seriously!

YADNBU. It's utterly brilliant.

I came across this show by chance. What an incredible series! Excellent direction, characterisation and a mindblowing plot. Love it!

Can't wait! And will then be hoping for a third series Grin.

Report
wowfudge · 18/03/2014 14:32

themoneyone there has to be a third series because I bet there will be unresolved threads.

Did you notice that Jackie Laverty is still down as a misper? We know from series one that she's in a freezer somewhere. In bits. Yuck.

YABU!

It's been the best thing I've seen in ages, I have a girl crush on Keely Hawes, and will be gutted it's the last one. SO yes, I will be SOOOO looking forward to the climax, but sad to see the end of it.

Can't wait. This series is miles better than the first. The interview scenes, first with Denton and then Dryden, have been utterly brilliant. I just hope that the final episode delivers.

I think knowledge of the first series makes this one particularly good, although you don't have to have watched series one. Absolutely gripping.

I also much prefer this series.

Although with series 1 I loathed the Lennie James character tbh & wanted him to be guilty all the way!

With this I have shifting sympathies!

I know! Would rather it was on every night for a week than having to wait a whole week for the next episode. I love Vicky McClure! Desperate for Shane Meadows to do another This is England spin off.

Haven't watched series 1 of Line of Duty. Will try to download it though. By the way, does anyone else think that this is a crap name for a series? Doesn't do it justice if you ask me.

Oh and I second the True Detective comment. Stunning television! Good enough for the big screen.

Be first then mebo, what do you reckon?

Optimist1, totally agree. It's like the wire for that, all shades of grey in the way characters are portrayed.
I am so excited about the last episode - new bloke over tomorrow though so will have to wait until thurs to watch it.
Any predictions?

Oh PS, I reckon there is going to be a twist and she WILL have been the mole after all but Dryden will go down.
