Lots of water and no alcohol.

Eat small frequent meals every few hours.

Get some fresh air and a walk if possible.

Cut down on sugar as much as you can. Look at low carbing, it made a huge difference to my pmt

Not short term but long term I got a mirena coil fitted and my pmt went from 4 days of pure anger to 1 day of general annoyance with the odd outburst.

I've had the last two days of rage and I definitely need a cure!

OP I found the best PMT treatment. I was suffering with PMDD and it helped enormously.

Angus cactus.

It makes your cycle much shorter, a week shorter but it feels as though it skips that week of PMT and you just come on instead. I was a bit miffed about bleeding not 20 days since the last one, but once I realised Id had not severe PMT I was ecstatic.

Ive done this for about 5 months, the all of a sudden the AC started giving me stomach pain so I stopped taking it. Im due on any minute and I feel tired, tearful, emotional, depressed, cant find any enthusiasm for life, let alone chores and general daily grind. I feel utterly warn down. Not to mention The Rage.

So as of tomorrow Im going to take half a dose to see if I can compromise with my body.

Not everyone gets side effects from AC so its definitely worth a shot.

Have you tried Fluoresse? It's starflower oil and sold in Boots. Halved my pmt in both length and severity.

I found giving up all meat and dairy products make a massive difference to my PMT. Also, eating two tbspoons of Linseed every day (the whole seed, either ground or soaked overnight - it tastes OK mixed with muesli.

I have found taking magnesium helps.

I am also eating more tinned mackerel and trying to eat more healthily.

Can't stop chocolate though Grin

Sleep, going to bed early the week before I come on.

Feel for you, I was feeling fine yesterday. Woke up this morning feeling rough, headachy, hair greasy. Had a staff dev day today and felt annoyed with everyone that I usually get on with so well. Not due on til NEXT Sunday Sad

I've changed my diet recently to be healthier
Losing weight slowly

This pmt has just hit me like a tidal wave
H left recently, I'm still reeling from his behaviour and actions
I've been really proud of myself for staying on top of things
Now I feel like its falling apart

Sad

I'm fat, old, skin is awful, it's grey and I cannot get makeup to work. And I'm alone.
I got some magnesium last month, but been forgetting to take then regularly
I have a banging headache too

Please don't take 3 nurofen?!!!!! It's 2 every 6hours. Seriously damaging your stomach lining if you're doing this often.
PMT wise, have a breakdown at every opportunity, failing that a nice long bath and a bar of choccy :)

Oh no, I'm not sure this definitely is pms, do you usually have it this bad?

My answer isn't quick, it's exercise like crazy and don't sat sugar. It makes such a huge difference to me, but you need to start two weeks ago, which isn't much help right now.

Report
RhondaJean · 05/03/2014 20:55

By no sugar I mean no processed foods with sugar in, not avoiding fruit etc just so I am clear.

Report
PPaka · 05/03/2014 21:09

Yeah it is
It's like a black cloud comes over me, I get annoyed with everything and just want to cry
It is getting worse

I get terrible pmt, it's just when you were saying everything that's going on I didn't want to ignore that.

Do you exercise regularly? Can you go for a run or something? I think even at this point it would release endorphins that might help.

Report
WholeNutt · 05/03/2014 21:17

Like SackandCrack Angus Cactus, try it in the tincture form as it enters the system quicker than tablets.

It's not a quick fix but will definitely help.
