I want Mam too. And as a compromise I get 'mother' but they are getting harder and harder to get.

Are you a west midlander op?

If so, what say we set up an import a whole bunch of mom cards from the US to sell to West Midlanders.

If you want a Mam one, get yourself to the North of England, I've noticed them in the card shops for the last couple of years.

I'm in Canada. I'll swap you Mom/Mommy for a Mum/Mummy?

It's even on a different day here too.

I need two different cards. I want one for my step mum that doesn't have mum/mother etc written on it and one for my mum that doesn't say 'greatest mum ever/you've always been there for me' etc Angry

Go and have a look at TheDogsDoodahs.com - you should be able to organise a Mom one from there. FamiliesShareGerms I think they have some non-twee Mothering Sunday ones too. They did last year anyway, that's where I got one for my Mum - we always do Mothering Sunday as well, and I loathe the OTT floral ones with the naf poems.

Mom is widely used in the West Midlands, gamerchick. It's not just American. I live 20 miles from Birmingham & there are definitely "mom" cards available here.
