Seriously.... FFS.

I would not be able to stand the constant countdown. July 2016. Live in the now!!

MammaTJ Mon 27-Jan-14 16:38:43

It is a tad previous and would bug me! YANBU

TessTackle Mon 27-Jan-14 16:39:16

900 days seems such a bloody long time to count down!
I think it would make me less excited really.

5Foot5 Mon 27-Jan-14 16:39:38

Wow do people seriously need nearly three years to plan a wedding now? This is going to be one hell of a bridezilla!!!

LightsPlease Mon 27-Jan-14 16:40:14

Shes excited bless her.

Tigerstripes Mon 27-Jan-14 16:41:49

I don't have the patience to wait that long for something! I would just have to not think about it at all. Definitely not post fb statuses about it!

CaptainCunt Mon 27-Jan-14 16:42:54

Someone on my feed did a year long countdown to someone ELSE'S wedding at which she was a bridesmaid. I blocked her after a month.

Yabvu just think of all the aibu you could have amused us with in that time grin

I take it that she isn't a nutter who hasn't met the OH yet?

StrawberryCheese Mon 27-Jan-14 16:43:55

I had three and a half years to plan my wedding blush but that was mainly saving money. I did post something similar on FB to that but I was taking the piss out of the situation more than anything! I knew hoe ridiculous it was, perhaps you're friend is the doing the same?

StrawberryCheese Mon 27-Jan-14 16:44:43

*how not hoe

My DD was proposed to on bonfire night, wedding in June this year! She will be 19 but too mature for constant countdowns!

IHaveSeenMyHat Mon 27-Jan-14 16:45:26

Hahaha, NINE HUNDRED DAYS? Amazing.

She'll explode before the wedding rolls around.

FanjoForTheMammaries Mon 27-Jan-14 16:45:29

YABA grinch

OpalQuartz Mon 27-Jan-14 16:45:47

I'd have waited to see how often she posted about it I think. If she just posted every 300 days or something it would be fine. If every day it would get a bit much.

Pigeonhouse Mon 27-Jan-14 16:48:22

At least she didn't say '900 sleeps'?

Clutching at straws here.

SlimJiminy Mon 27-Jan-14 16:48:46

YANBU. I've done exactly the same thing.

depends, was she proposed to recdenlty and just nailed down a date? And this is just a one off?

Yabu.

If you think she might actually count down YANBU

Chelvis Mon 27-Jan-14 16:50:39

Even she'll be sick of planning it by then!

Seeing as an average pregnancy lasts 280 days, if she's very very quick at getting pregnant after each birth, she could have three children in that time. Three extra bridesmaids / pageboys. Don't suggest it though!

Dahlen Mon 27-Jan-14 16:52:43

I completely fail to 'get' why other people fantasise about their perfect grand wedding. The typical perfect wedding is anathema to me.

Despite that, I can't help feeling leave her be. She's obviously very excited, which is surely the emotion she should be feeling at the prospect of getting married?

Trills Mon 27-Jan-14 16:56:16

You known you can remove someone from your news feed without unfriending them?

StrangeGlue Mon 27-Jan-14 17:02:35

Seems a bit OTT but if that's how you feel it's probably for the best.

Preferthedogtothekids Mon 27-Jan-14 17:03:08

One more sleep till 899 :-)

ohhifruit Mon 27-Jan-14 17:14:37

Ha! I would have kept her as a friend and made a status like '2700 poos until Sarah Smith's wedding.'
But I'm a dick.
