I'm going through a phase where I just feel like jeans encase my flab and make me feel quite repulsive.

Soo...while on a diet I'm on a mission to find the best black leggings. And tunic tops?

Lovepancakes Thu 23-Jan-14 20:42:20

I've just got some from Hush and never knew leggings could be so comfortable. It's now hard to wear anything else !

NinjaBunny Thu 23-Jan-14 20:42:28

Do you mean People Tree Ninja?

No. Pepper Tree.

Nice stuff and seems to be exclusively tunics!!

grin

Not a fan of Joules fashion but there leggings are the best. Comfy, don't sag and nice colours.

Boden maternity trousers were the best.

Here:

They're called 'dresses' but imagine wearing that while bending over and pooper-scooping!!

shock

Uniqlo leggings are great and come in lots of colours

Sainsburys!

BabyMummy29 Thu 23-Jan-14 21:18:29

I've always bought mine from Next and they've worn and washed well.

I bought Next leggings last month and they seemed to have changed.

I would at one time rated them the best in that price range.

Ninja, could you tell me how the sizing is for Pepper Tree? Similar to Next or New Look etc?

happylass Thu 23-Jan-14 21:27:58

Another vote for Boden.

TeaCupCrazy Thu 23-Jan-14 21:28:11

Another vote for Top Shop here. Vote x 2 actually as now Dd wears them too.

FayeKorgasm Thu 23-Jan-14 21:28:28

Mint Velvet are fab.

NinjaBunny Thu 23-Jan-14 21:36:35

Pepper Tree sizing is pretty standard.

14 is a 14. One of the reasons I like it.

Not hugely big or weirdly small.

MsAspreyDiamonds Thu 23-Jan-14 21:37:11

Please wear leggings with something over them like a dress, skirt or a tunic top

. Never do the following:

Leggings are not replacement trousers
Your bum does need to be covered to minimise it & for modesty
Your bum & thighs will look bigger if uncovered & worn like trousers
Thank you smile

I find Next sizing mental.

It's probably similar to New Look, Boden, Nomads.

Thanks.

BabyMummy29 Thu 23-Jan-14 21:42:22

MsAsprey very good advice. There's nothing worse than seeing an arse in leggings, however small it is, it just SO wrong!!

Blondieminx Thu 23-Jan-14 21:46:43

Another vote for Boden - they are nice and long too!

I observe the rules whilst wearing them obvs! grin

kungfupannda Thu 23-Jan-14 21:46:56

Not black, but White Stuff do lovely dark grey and dark blue leggings - they're soft and good quality and unusual colours.

julieann42 Thu 23-Jan-14 22:02:11

I like Sainsburys and H and M, but the Sainsburys are my favourite!

Woowoowoowoo Thu 23-Jan-14 22:08:14

Gah! Sainsbury's don't sell clothes online. Why the ever not?!

DustBunnyFarmer Thu 23-Jan-14 22:20:53

To make you go in there and spend money on other stuff, Woowoo.

justgirl Thu 23-Jan-14 22:26:55

Might I throw another consideration into the mix??? I find that leggings that have an outside seem down the outer legs make for a more unflattering look....that's always what I look for first. blush

leezl Thu 23-Jan-14 22:28:19

New Look do shapewear leggings in the Inspire range which are THE MOST COMFORTABLE LEGGINGS EVER but they are shocking quality and I've had two pairs rip in the same place within a month :'( if I could figure out how to strengthen them I'd buy them all up! Sooo not a recommendation, more a heartbroken anti-rec. So helpful.

Woowoowoowoo Thu 23-Jan-14 22:32:08

Oooh shapewear leggings...now you're talking.
