to want to throw shit at this woman?

Got your attention? Good. Obviously I don't really plan to throw poo at her.

We live opposite a small green that we used to walk across on the school run.

Recently it has been covered in dog turds Hmm.

Just now from my bedroom window I saw a woman come out of her house directly across from me (the green is between us iyswim) with a fat labrador not on a lead who then proceeded to crap in two different spots on the green while she looked on.

She then called it over and they went back in the house Angry

The green is used by kids after school and by families waiting for buses.

I appreciate this is a one off and I can't know for sure that her dog is responsible for all the shits but why the hell should she be allowed to use a public area as a dog toilet?

If I see her do the same again I am going to confront her. Is that unreasonable of me? Surely not.

Report the filthy bitch to the dog warden and tell her you have done so.

I am very tempted Black Angry.

TooOld - Will the dog warden take me seriously if I ring?

I worried I was being too harsh as she was an older woman using one crutch but I don't care. If you can't responsibly look after your dog then rehome it.

I would bag them up and put them through her letter box give them back to her.

Ring the council. We had a problem dog owner near us once. She kept getting reported, gave up and moved in the end.

X post with your second post.

That dog may be her only companion and the crutch maybe temporary.

Sounds like she needs some help.

Yes they will take you seriously. I think it is an offence to let your dog "foul" in public (and not pick it up) but even if it is not illegal they will still have a word/write a letter.

InTheRedCorner there are always two cars outside the house and people coming and going.

She doesn't live alone.

Yanbu I HATE people who dont pick up dog crap. Disgusting, filthy worse-than-their-animals.

The onle thing I would ask is are you certain it was a no.2? Not asking you to go and check! Only because my bitch BC squats to both wee and poo. I can tell which one by the length of time and her stance (lovely ain't it?). But once after she did a squatting wee a man did come over to check I was picking up. Its fine he didn't know and I ALWAYS pick up, even in leaves at nighttime (which is interesting).

I suspect the worst of this woman though Angry

now I would never suggest this Grin but quite a while ago when my dad was living alone and turning into Victor Meldrew someone took to using his front garden (open plan grass) as a dog toilet.

He had a supply of water balloons ready to go on the bedroom windowsill and would chuck them at the culprit whenever he caught them in the act (at the owner - not the dogs fault).

Not how I would have gone about it, but it did get the message across

That's disgusting but God...MN has really gone down the pan lately! All this "filthy bitch" just sounds awful.

What I do when I see someone not pick up - even though I would not necessarily try it with some owners, for self preservation purposes! - is to say "Oh, would you like to borrow a poo bag for that?" and take a spare one out of my pocket.
they almost always pick up after that.

Even if she did live on her own and need to use a crutch there is no excuse for letting your dog crap in a public place and leaving it behind. She could have let it crap in her own garden if it was an emergency. Filthy cow! She is the sort of person who give responsible owners a bad name. If you see it happening again then film it or take pictures and report.

RedCorner: yay! Make it a paper bag and set fire to it first before leaving it on the doorstep*

*no, don't do this.

OP, stick some bags in your pocket and just hand them to her when you see the dog poop. Maybe also tell her her overweight pooch needs to see a vet about a diet (seriously, labs will eat EVERYTHING given half a chance).

Or do fling poop at her. Your call! I think you should do something unless perhaps she looks likely to shank you.
