Been here since Sunday (going home Saturday)- I've had enough now especially of the MIL - really starting to piss me off. Luckily at the moment we are in separate rooms.

I'm really trying but can't be arsed .

Me too...except mine are going tomorrow...weather permitting!

ViviPru Thu 26-Dec-13 17:44:44

Why did you agree to them staying such a godawful long time?

jimijack Thu 26-Dec-13 17:45:38

What are they doing to piss you off?

Nosey...

Me too but i have 2 more weeks. Aaarg.

HaroldTheGoat Thu 26-Dec-13 17:49:54

Are you being a meanie or is she a proper pain?

LynetteScavo Thu 26-Dec-13 17:52:03

YANBU.

Saturday is a lifetime away. I hope you have a plan for Morrow!

Thinkaboutit ......2 more weeks!! Will think of you later when I'm feeling pissed off with my pils and be glad this is the last night of preparing lovely food for no thanks whatsoever and no offers of help.

TheChimpParadox Thu 26-Dec-13 18:08:05

I didn't agree to them being here - that's the problem !

ViviPru Thu 26-Dec-13 18:25:44

Then your problem is not with them, it's with whoever said it was OK for them to stay that long...

Aniseeda Thu 26-Dec-13 18:39:30

yanbu, a night or two is plenty for me no matter who the guest is.

I like my in-laws a lot but I would be losing the will to live by day two. They are lovely but omg can they talk and I need a certain amount of quiet or I start to implode!

Take yourself off out somewhere tomorrow if you can, even if all you do is sit in the car and read a magazine!

EndoplasmicReticulum Thu 26-Dec-13 18:42:55

YANBU. A week is too long.

Milk and relatives go off after 3 days.

Troo fact grin

TheBookofRuth Thu 26-Dec-13 18:45:31

I hear ya. Mine are very nice and we had a lovely day yesterday, but I'd be much happier if they'd have left this morning!

Chivetalking Thu 26-Dec-13 18:52:53

YADNBU.

Never agree to a week again <peers over glasses>

CaptainSweatPants Thu 26-Dec-13 18:56:41

Organise to see a long film tomorrow line The Hovbbit

Lunch out after

Then wake up with a migraine & have 6 ish lovely hours to yourself fgrin

MintyChops Thu 26-Dec-13 19:04:35

Chin up, there's only tomorrow to get through. Can you go out on your own and leave then and your DH to enjoy a day with the kids? You could go to the sales (if feeling brave), lunch, cinema or just have a nice long walk?

MintyChops Thu 26-Dec-13 19:05:23

By the way, YANBU it's far too long a visit

Suddengeekgirl Thu 26-Dec-13 19:09:08

We are with MIL. We go home tomorrow - only 16 more hours to go. grin

TheChimpParadox Thu 26-Dec-13 20:02:07

Could really do with being on own with DH and children. DH and I not been getting on recently. Ever felt lonely in a house full of people.

Suddengeekgirl Thu 26-Dec-13 20:08:38

Chimp - I was surrounded by almost 20 of my family today. So so lonely! Know exactly what you mean! sad

Hope you get some quality time with dh in the gap between Christmas chaos and new year madness! wine

Start planning something nice to do with DH now. It'll keep you going. Well, that and winewine

TheChimpParadox Thu 26-Dec-13 20:26:18

DH gone to bed now as feeling unwell ! Left with them.

Suddengeekgirl Thu 26-Dec-13 21:04:24

Go to bed too! I'm sure you look a little peaky. wink
