Bathroom products target limescale.
Kitchen products target grease.

Target different germs is ridiculous! Do germs know which room they live in? If a bathroom germ escapes and moves to the kitchen will the bleach in the product then not kill it?

I buy the cheapest liquid cleaner (30p) and then transfer it into a Mr Muscle spray bottle that I bought when it was on offer.

I live in an area with very soft water so no limescale problems.

Cleaning products are generally very overpriced.

YANBU.
Your DH has bought into the germ propaganda.

Hahaha your husband is an advertisers dream.
Kitchen one likely to have degreasers, bathroom descalers but essentially the same cleaning product in different bottles.
