I don't just think it's the glass ceiling that's the issue here. The other staff all seem to have a few things in common.

Ha! They do all have the same hair don't they?

If they are showing pictures of the accounts support I am guessing those are ALL their employees - indeed the article states that.

Can't wait for my promotion to the board, I'm going to only employ hot, 20 something guys.

Mimishimi Fri 15-Nov-13 20:34:57

Ha ha!

territt Fri 15-Nov-13 14:44:21

No one on here really knows, im guessing with a company of that size that they aren't the only people employed there.

AnnieJanuary Fri 15-Nov-13 13:28:34

I have short hair. I'd never get hired.

Quangle Fri 15-Nov-13 13:19:05

Love their passive aggressive disclaimer. The public are not commenting on the looks of your staff, you morons. They are commenting on you. Negatively. That help at all?

What a bunch of creeps.

zatyaballerina Fri 15-Nov-13 13:18:12

It looks like they're only hiring women they want to sleep with, which I suppose they aregrin The men are very happy looking in their photoswink

WallyBantersJunkBox Fri 15-Nov-13 13:16:29

Looking closely at the photos I think you can tell that the majority of them aren't obese either.

currentbuns Fri 15-Nov-13 13:10:24

Wally I'm not sure you can tell whether the women are all slim or not from the headshots, to be fair.

WallyBantersJunkBox Fri 15-Nov-13 13:06:55

It is an equal opportunities company:

All the woman are equally young, equally styled and equally slim......

I wonder what the directors have decided is the theme for the Christmas Foam Party - sexy elf, Sexy Mrs Claus, Sexy Christmas Cracker? I bet they are giddy with excitement.

OrlandoWoolf Fri 15-Nov-13 12:50:53

I don't think the all male board is the main problem. Can you see the similarity between the rest of the employees?

territt Fri 15-Nov-13 11:54:18

I really don't see the problem, the company was started by men on the board, should they really just promote a woman because the board is all men?

Jossysgiants Fri 15-Nov-13 11:04:24

I'm sure the board have their own exclusive toilets .
That would be very sensible. And since they would only need urinals it shouldn't be too costly. Their new slogan - ' If you can piss standing up, you can join our senior management. After all we are an equal opportunities employer. '

OrlandoWoolf Fri 15-Nov-13 10:52:59

They could probably use the gents. I'm sure the board have their own exclusive toilets.

Jossysgiants Fri 15-Nov-13 10:49:56

I am worried about the queue for the ladies in their offices....

I am sure lots of companies do this, but not all are idiotic enough to publicise it in this way. Thanks Op this has given me a much needed laugh this morning.

OrlandoWoolf Fri 15-Nov-13 10:24:49

I just can't believe no one stepped back, looked at the images and then thought about what people might think about the company. I would love to know what's being said in their workplace now.

<Wonders if Mylovelyboy has seen it yet?>

namechangesforthehardstuff Fri 15-Nov-13 10:06:53

My DH just kept saying. 'Is it real?', 'No, is it?'

I just lurve their statement that they are an equal opportunities employer. Really? Oh that's OK then. For a second there...but no, you must be, if you say you are.

No evidence to the contrary at all.

ToysRLuv Fri 15-Nov-13 09:14:53

I just showed this to DH, who practically fell on the floor laughing. No wonder the men are grinning..

Bearleigh Fri 15-Nov-13 07:54:17

I work over the road from a medium sized media company, and my office is on the same level as their meeting rooms. I do also know some senior people who work there.

I have noticed that their mid range employees ( who facilitate meetings) almost all looked like those young women ie young slim and attractive with glossy long hair. There are definitely no racial minorities and very few men. And yes almost all the senior team are middle aged men. I have commented to them about this...

Tanith Thu 14-Nov-13 21:07:30

I used to work for a communications company. They hired a new director whose first action was to reorganise the department, renaming the management positions and redefining their responsibilities.

Every one of the women was changed to "Supervisor". All the men were "Managers".

So I'm not surprised to read this. Depressed to see nothing has changed in all this time, but not surprised.

LifeHuh Thu 14-Nov-13 21:01:07

Snigger. What we probably need here is subtitles for the hard of understanding...or maybe not, life's too short!

Heartbrokenmum73 Thu 14-Nov-13 20:54:47

BOF grin

BOF Thu 14-Nov-13 20:53:32

Maybe because there's an issue with step 3 in your suggestion, Orlando? Who knows?

OrlandoWoolf Thu 14-Nov-13 20:51:04

Well why don't you click on the Huffington post link I did, read the comments and then use your intelligence to figure it out?
