So someone asked for a review on our local hospital. I said it was crappy and the staff were bitchy. And got banned for using the words!

How pathetic is that?? I rarely used it anyway and when I saw someone asking a decent question that didnt involve tickers I thought I'd post my thoughts!

Idiots!!

Oh yeah!xx I always forget to say hun xx and end every sentence with kisses xx I forgot my ticker too xx

I joined a while back to have a look after all the talk of it on Mn and give it ago but it's just quite dull, nothing much gets talked about and it's just so quiet compared to here. Dull, dull dull.

I think you might have given birth in the same hospital as me! Most of my midwives were shite too.

Did you have a ticker letting everyone know the state of your cervical mucus? If not, that's probably why you weren't to be trusted.

Thanks for that, RevengeWiggle

lovelilies Thu 14-Nov-13 20:28:47

what's a ticker? blush

DownstairsMixUp Thu 14-Nov-13 20:31:20

A ticker is something thats on the signature (at the bottom of people's posts) counting down time to an event, i.e a wedding, pregnancy or in the case of NM the state of cervical mucus grin

PottyLotty Thu 14-Nov-13 20:35:06

Oooo I got banned too grin years and years and years ago.

I told someone I thought they were irresponsible for putting their 2 day old baby in the passenger seat of a car which she hadnt checked the airbag was switched off in. She said the midwife said it was fine so I said she was irresponsible too. I got banned for using innopropriate language but when I asked them to just remove my post so I didnt offend anyone else they said no because one of their moderators had commented on it and they had to keep it on there incase anyone sues them confused soooooo its still on there....somewhere....still offending people I guess blush

likelytoasksillyquestions Thu 14-Nov-13 20:41:52

I always thought people on here were joking when they said you weren't allowed to swear on NM.
I mean, I got that it wasn't the done thing. I didn't realise it was actually forbidden and punishable by death banning.

PottyLotty Thu 14-Nov-13 20:45:57

I didnt swear I said 'irresponsible' and apparently if I had read the posters other threads I would have known I was being offensive because she had PND and had interaction with social services about the treatment of her baby....... hmm

MrsBeeZed Thu 14-Nov-13 21:18:51

I wouldn't even give it any further thought, OP. The mods and 99.5% of the members are thick as shit and don't appreciate anyone who doesn't conform to their twattery.

ClayDavis Thu 14-Nov-13 21:32:28

I think I would have got banned last week except I had a bit of a rethink and deleted what I'd written before I pressed post.

BTW which of you lot wrote a benefits bashing post and finished it off with 'It just gets my goat when I see these 'vulnerable' people with 50 inch tvs'?

Ohwhatfuckeryisthis Thu 14-Nov-13 21:42:03

thanks to you. congratulations. smile We fucking luffs swearage.
Is this going to end up another biscuit fight? (pulls up a chair and passes the toffees round)

sittinginthesun Thu 14-Nov-13 21:48:59

Netmums seemed to have banned a lot of members over the last few days - a lot have migrated over here.

I think the site has gradually sunk lower and lower over the years. Shame really, because some of the Boards were quite supportive a few years ago, but it reached a point where I just couldn't read it. I looked at it the other day, and it's just another planet now.

Far more civilised over here.

Ohwhatfuckeryisthis Thu 14-Nov-13 22:06:37

and sweary.grin

pointyfangs Thu 14-Nov-13 22:18:07

But Clay the benefits debate is all about goats. You need to know that to survive here.

ClayDavis Thu 14-Nov-13 22:37:18

I know. That's why I assumed it was a MNer having a laugh rather than a serious post. I saw it and PMSL. If it was a serious post I don't think that was the intention.

pointyfangs Fri 15-Nov-13 08:52:06

Maybe it was a NM-er who didn't understand about the goats and was being serious?

<wanders off craving curry goat>

chateauferret Fri 15-Nov-13 17:17:47

Maybe you should send the site admin a wee response. Maybe:

I don't give a twopenny toss
If my epithet made you get cross.
I don't think I will grieve
When your punters all leave
And go elsewhere. Well, then, it's your loss.

And add "HTH, Hun".
