So someone asked for a review on our local hospital. I said it was crappy and the staff were bitchy. And got banned for using the words!

How pathetic is that?? I rarely used it anyway and when I saw someone asking a decent question that didnt involve tickers I thought I'd post my thoughts!

pandabear86 Thu 14-Nov-13 08:13:16

Sorry I needed to rant! ;)

Gileswithachainsaw Thu 14-Nov-13 08:14:43

That's pathetic. Are you not allowed to warn others ?

cupcake78 Thu 14-Nov-13 08:16:41

Lol, that's hardly offensive. I better not post on netmums. I have a mouth like a sewer wink

SoupDragon Thu 14-Nov-13 08:16:48

It's very common to get banned from NM I believe.

Strumpetron Thu 14-Nov-13 08:20:41

I wouldn't last a day. I got banned from here once (different UN) so doubt I'd last there.

pandabear86 Thu 14-Nov-13 08:32:29

All the message said was that Im using offensive language.

Ridiculous, if they really can't handle the word crappy why not delete the post? Banning is a bit over the top.

jellyboatsandpirates Thu 14-Nov-13 08:34:57

Really? Banned first time for using offensive language?! If you swear they give you a warning for trying to bypass the swear filter. (Got one myself once, oops!) Warning, that is.
Never known them to ban just for that!

pandabear86 Thu 14-Nov-13 08:37:32

Those tickers are more offensive than my language...

pandabear86 Thu 14-Nov-13 08:40:33

Nope, no warning! Ooooops

Maybe someone reported it? Who knows! I just thought it was funny.

TheVermiciousKnid Thu 14-Nov-13 08:44:28

How fucking disgraceful of you to use such shitty language.

pointyfangs Thu 14-Nov-13 08:58:24

I think you should be allowed to call the beast by its name, which is why MN is so vastly superior to the other place. After all, a pile of poo by any other name would smell as bad.

<apologises to the bard and slinks off>

Chippednailvarnish Thu 14-Nov-13 10:53:40

Congratulations. I personally think it's something to be proud of!

everlong Thu 14-Nov-13 10:59:03

They aren't in the real world them lot.

pandabear86 Thu 14-Nov-13 12:01:51

It was a constant fight between common sense and Jeremy Kyle over there! All I wanted was pratical advice and I was willing to give pratical advice about my local maternity wing.

pianodoodle Thu 14-Nov-13 12:03:07

Crappy and bitchy?!

Swoon grin

pandabear86 Thu 14-Nov-13 12:03:58

Practical - sorry

Sparklingbrook Thu 14-Nov-13 12:05:22

I don't swear. Would I fit right in? shock

Sparklingbrook Thu 14-Nov-13 12:05:48

Although saying that I do say 'crappy' and 'bitchy' so maybe not.

EauRouge Thu 14-Nov-13 12:06:28

You should have said it was full of kittens and rainbows <tut>

Mylovelyboy Thu 14-Nov-13 12:08:12

YANBU I don't think you got necessarily banned for using the 'words'. I think it was more about what was being said about the hospital/staff. I think you were quite right to voice your views/concerns no matter how you said it.

rightsaidfrederick Thu 14-Nov-13 12:19:50

If they don't want particular words on that forum then they need to install swear filter software not run around banning people.

GhostsInSnow Thu 14-Nov-13 12:22:41

Obviously what you should have said was:

It's crappy and the staff are bitchy hun

Then you wouldn't have been banned. grin

pandabear86 Thu 14-Nov-13 12:36:17

Well the staff were having a slag match and were really laying into each other. (And slagging off each others husbands)

Another patient on the ward was shouting because her midwife was sleeping on the job too

One midwife called another a Twat in front of us all.

So ya know..... Just thought I'd mention it!

I've seen a Consultant named on Netmums and the posts weren't deleted (some ladies called him shit).
