I know, I mean what could Trinny "desperate for a bit of fame" see in the multi multi millionaire?

Why should she know better specifically?

Report
womma · 20/10/2013 16:27

If she could see past the massive pound signs blinking on and off that she must have in her eyes, she might see it differently.

But let's face it, an elderly millionaire, even with a history of being emotionally abusive, isn't going to be single for long is he? Some daft injection faced Chelsea divorcee will grab him and just put up with it. And one has.

Is it because of Charles history of DA against women.

Report
123Jump · 20/10/2013 16:36

I think she is loaded herself. Iwouldn't think she is the first woman who has dated an alleged abuser either.

propertyNIGHTmareBEFOREXMAS · 20/10/2013 16:38

What could she possibly find attractive about the multi millionaire?

Report
ImperialBlether · 20/10/2013 16:40

She's well off herself; I don't think it's fair on her to assume she's money grabbing.

It's obvious that he's a very manipulative and clever man and I'm sure there are many, many of his friends and acquaintances who have been convinced by him that he hasn't done anything wrong.

But the 'attraction' of saatchi wouldn't be his money, would it?
It would be the lifestyle - the circles he mixes in etc. That's not to suggest she is grasping, but that kind of power/status must be a lure?

Other than that he is quite the catch what with the good looks and keeping his hands to himself.

Yeh, i thought ffs have u no pride trinny?

Think she has mental health issues though. And varioys legal addictions.

She's a fool to think she can handle him.

She's well off by average standards, but she is not rich the way he is.

She is a former addict with a string of failed romantic relationships behind her.

He is an emotionally abusive millionaire who has been married three times and doesn't see what's wrong with trying the throttle his wife in public.

What could possibly go wrong?

Report
C0ffeeN0biscuit · 20/10/2013 22:17

She is too old to believe whatever bullshit he tells her about the media twisting things to make him look like a bully when he's such a nice guy.

What could possibly go wrong Grin! Greythorne ...

But, you know when you've failed, its very seductive to try and get back on that horse and prove everyone wrong (especially oneself Hmm).

maybe this is the time for both of them? they've changed/grown? people do. and at the very least company-wise I expect they're both quite interesting people - Saatchi sponsored the best modern Art Exhibition ever on the Southbank IMO.

but isn't he a good bit older? and agree possibly re. "social circles," rather than "hard cash" motivation.

but wish them luck anyway, esp. Trinny.

I can't see them.now without thinking of a comment I read in the DM questioning what the black book type item he was always pictured with.
"Does he carry that black thing everywhere? Is it a diary? 'Dear diary, went for dinner at Scott's. Managed not to throttle Trinny..."

She's not really well off. Didn't she (and Susannah) lose all their money a while back? Susannah came from money anyway, but Trinny less so I think.

I think she was married to a rich fella before? I wish her luck. Always liked her. They've known each other for years. Maybe they are just friends? Hmm

Wow! I hope she doesn't end up posting on relationships at some point. Doesn't sound like she'll get much sympathy. It must be s nice feeling never to.have made a mistake about a man Hmm

Oh FGS of course she's not after him for his money, how ridiculously vulgar and misogynistic to spring to that idea immediately.

She just wants to improve his sartorial sense.

But to be serious, women are told all the time that domestic abusers aren't really responsible for their actions and that women provoke them, blah blah blah. He's probably spun her some line about how Nigella was a fucking provoking, difficult, stroppy cow who constantly pulled rank because of her family connections, put him down, was emotionally abusive to him and he was at the end of his tether, he knows it was wrong, he couldn't help it, he's never done anything like it before or since, it was a one off, etc. etc.

And he's charming, well educated, cultured, well-informed and very, very plausible.

Why on earth should she know better? She's someone who got famous because she's good with clothes, not because she's got a searing analysis of male violence and gender power differentials in relationships and society. Why shouldn't she believe the lies the man and our culture tells her?

Lighthousekeeping · 20/10/2013 23:57

I agree.

I hate how everyone assumes that women are after men for their money. No-one ever says it about Kate Moss's husband or even daddy is loaded peaches geldof's husband or, any A lister female celeb that's married to an ordinary bloke.
