er....Dame Edna is an acting part, not a real person nor a celeb. 'she' is supposed to be annoying.

not watching though, the shrieking harpies of Loose Women as glimpsed once or twice make me want to do something violent.

Barry Humphries is a very kind and nice man. Won't hear a bad word about him.

I have always been very fond of Barry Humphries and Dame Edna. It is very knowing, and sort of sexually cheeky, subversive in a joyful way. Although its set in Australia, its not a million miles a way from Mrs Bucket in the UK dare I say?

I loved that other Australian comedy, with the two female comediennes playing mother and daughter in a suburb. Whats the name? It was on for one series maybe, then vanished forever.
