I have heard/seen many women make comments about this advert but I have yet to see it!! What is the general theme??

HandragsAndGladbags Sun 06-Oct-13 20:40:02

I wept.

I am 10 weeks pregnant with dc3 and am not sure if tears of joy or trepidation grin

bootsycollins Sun 06-Oct-13 20:41:22

Wipe your kids arse with Johnsons products and your the best parent ever, lots of family bonding with baby in dappled light deep fried in cheese with grilled mozzarella on top and shavings of Parmesan with a side order of corn.

Writerwannabe83 Sun 06-Oct-13 20:50:34

grin @ bootsy. Sounds pretty lame smile

monkeynuts123 Sun 06-Oct-13 20:52:29

All I know is I didn't want another baby and now I do! Powerful advertising or what. Oh it wasn't lame, it was divine! I think the hormones kicked in.

i am not pregnant. Neither is my husband. Ahem, sob, snif. It's on their facebook site... advert is called "Life Reborn"

Johnson's Baby UK & Ireland

bootsycollins Sun 06-Oct-13 21:22:50

<swinging brick for a heart emoticon>

LadyGoodman Sun 06-Oct-13 21:24:28

It is absolutely grotesque in its mawkishness

UriGeller Sun 06-Oct-13 21:29:50

they don't mention it'll make your baby smell weird .

Oh, and its entirely unnecessary to slather a newborn in cosmetic fragrance.

They are already soft and smell delicious.

Kiwiinkits Sun 06-Oct-13 21:31:58

Johnson's baby products are Crap with a capital C. I was using (expensive, gifted) natural skin care products on my little girl, but when I ran out I turned to some Johnson's stuff that I had also been given. Her skin got dry, flakey, inflamed. The difference in her skin was so remarkable I've gone off cheap cosmetic products for life. Au naturale all the way for us now.

Layl77 Sun 06-Oct-13 21:33:37

It made me think "aww that gorgeous baby will get scabby skin off that crap perfumed stuff"

HabitualLurker Sun 06-Oct-13 21:34:24

You lot are right soppy bananas. It just made me feel a little nauseous..

bootsycollins Sun 06-Oct-13 21:35:19

I'm baffled as to what is the actual purpose of Johnsons baby lotion, it's not a moisturiser or barrier cream, my auntie reckons it's just for freshening up baby's bum after a pooey nappy.

TheCrumpetQueen Sun 06-Oct-13 21:37:01

I luffs it, made me get a lump in my throat

hettienne Sun 06-Oct-13 21:38:17

Awful advert, and I never used any products on my baby, but still made me well up grin I do have pregnancy as an excuse though.

Latara Sun 06-Oct-13 21:56:03

I had to turn it off, I don't want to see cute babies in long adverts when I can't be a mum now/maybe never.

dimdommilpot Sun 06-Oct-13 22:18:55

It made me cry. I am 14weeks pregnant with DC2.

cheeseandbiscuitsplease Sun 06-Oct-13 22:36:18

It's a lovely advert but it made me think about anyone who wants a baby but can't. It would've killed me when I was ttc.
