It's bound to be out by then. Never keen on her, but also sorry for her sons having her life raked over again.

Do you think someone would buy it for you? Shock

Apparently it's really dreadful and boring

Surprised its not gone straight to video

Not really, just interested to hear others' views as it is a 'marmite' subject.

Never keen on her

It's funny how many people claim to have "never [been] keen on her" now. If you had said "so what?" around the time of her death, you'd have been lucky to escape a public lynching in the manner of Benito Mussolini.

It looks awful, and cringeworthy.

Well, YANBU not to want it, but if you don't think anyone will buy it for you there's no problem. Confused

I did say 'so what?' at the time, and so did quite a few people I know. Although perhaps the comment of an acquaintance of 'serve the manipulative cow right' was a little extreme.

apparently it is an hilariously bad movie.

Terrible reviews in today's paper Grin.

Special - yes, lots of people were 'so what' about it, obviously very sad for her two young sons but the 'Diana madness' was totally, totally OTT and vomit inducing.

I heard a bit of the trailer on the rail. Just cringey as hell. Not a fan of Diana or the Royal Family but can't help feeling annoyed at this movie and how awful it must be for those connected. Can't marine watching it, couldn't watch the Thatcher movie either. Did see The Queen though.

I have to say I am less horrified by the existence of what sounds like an admittedly awful film than by the idea that someone might think I am the type who would love it as a present!

My only feeling on her death (apart from the immediate surprise) was some sadness for her young sons losing their mum. I found the mass hysteria after her death bizarre and, quite frankly, ridiculous.

it's the sort of old bollocks my mil would love. she is a daily mail reader incarnate and loves anything with "magnificent partwork" written in front of it.

not that i would buy it for anyone. although naomi watts was blooody funny in that movie 43 film. what she was doing saying yes to the diana film is a mystery i would imagine only scooby doo could solve.

Am really surprised Watts said yes to this. It smacks of straight to DVD fodder. Could be a giggle and one to get drunk to but it just seems so wrong for William and Harry.

I'd go ballistic if anyone got me that.

And I was never keen on her, and said so, both at the time and before, and while I couldn't be glad that she'd died because that would be bloody weird, I wasn't sad that she did either, although I was sad for the Princes losing their mother. I had to keep the radio off for a whole week after her death because they kept on and on and on about it; I still can't listen to Elton John's Goodbye Norma Jean because he trashed it by rewriting it; and I was bloody grateful to be working on the Saturday of her funeral with 2 like-minded people so we didn't have to worry about accidentally turning on the tv/radio and being bombarded with it.

I was actually in N.Ireland when she died. I remember it because we'd been out on the lash until about 4am; and the hostess rushed into the bedrooms next morning, scaring us all stupid by yelling "PRincess Diana's DEAD!!" and then she and my 2 other friends proceeded to go into mourning over it!! I had to bite my tongue a bit, because we were flying back to the UK that day together and I didn't want to upset them, but I was very glad to get away from them both and their wailing.

I have high hopes that the film is so bad it is good, like the Wills and Kate movie. It is brilliant hangover telly, if there is no Columbo on.

I'm no Royalist but I hope that Wills and Harry (and Di's other family) are able to just roll their eyes at it and not be hurt by the content of the movie.

Just listened to Mark Kermode reviewing it on R5L and he reckons it's boring bad, not so bad it's good - best steer clear then!

I was very sorry for her and her children but I found her a silly simpering twit. Yes she raised awareness of landmine injuries and did lots of charitable fund raising but she was a member of the Royal Family and that was her job.
She was killed in a horrific accident while she and her lover were being driven at speed by a drunk.
She was as unfaithful as Charles without his sense of duty.
I found the hysteria over her death embarrassing and would hate a dvd about her. If I get one for Christmas it will be in the nearest charity shop asap.

I don't want it for Christmas either, if anyone gives it to me I will assume they have gone insane and will regift it to ohmymimi

Now I've got to add 'worrying that someone will give me the Diana DVD' to my list of worries Hmm Grin
