To think McDonalds are unreasonable?

I am at the burger restaurant with the toddler. We ordered the food and then I asked for a chilli dip and a curry dip.

Apparently I couldn't have this. I could have 2 chilli ones or 2 curry ones no more and no mix ups.

Why does it matter? Some people, rebels, like me like a mix and match dip. Some excitement and I have been robbed of that.

I will have to buy some shite in B&Ms I guess to even it out

YABU everyone knows the sweet and sour dip is the best!

totally addictive...I would never eat there at all if wasn't for the sweet and sour dip cravings I get...

ILetHimKeep20Quid Thu 12-Sep-13 12:31:45

That's fucking outrageous. I'm outraged.

OnTheBottomWithAWomensWeekly Thu 12-Sep-13 12:31:59

Thats pretty odd. Did you get nuggets or were you buying them seperately?
Also, theres a chill dip? I have never seen this.

1) those dips are HORRIBLE get sweet and sour instead - NEVER pay for the sour cream one out of principle

2) ask someone else for the dips - the person you asked was clearly on a power trip

Have to pay for chilli one but not the curry one. Toddler got nuggets and I got a burger and chips.

I just wanted to liven it up but I had to stick to one dip sad

BBQ - Royalty of dips.

Strongly worded email to Head Office without delay. Nobody deserves to be treated like that sad

MotherofBear Thu 12-Sep-13 12:36:04

I didn't even know there were dips other than tomato or BBQ available!!!

IceBeing Thu 12-Sep-13 12:37:34

My main dip problem involves whether I can make do with two packs of the sweet and sour or if a third one is necessary...

IceBeing Thu 12-Sep-13 12:38:04

The chilli one is <whispers> bigger though isn't it?

I started this for support and in usual MN style and I'm been criticised for something that's shouldn't matter.

My choice of dip isn't the issue! Its the power mad McDs worker who dashed my dreams but no, obviously its my fault because I asked for the wrong dips.

hmm

grin

That's stupid. I have never been told that in McDonald's

Thank you to those who have shown support.

The toddler has ran into the play gym while I self pity.

LazyMonkeyButler Thu 12-Sep-13 12:39:32

BBQ is the only dip. Therefore, YABU. No mixy-matchy though? Someone deserves a jobsworth award don't they?

YoureBeingADick Thu 12-Sep-13 12:39:54

how's the diet going SP? grin

PatPig Thu 12-Sep-13 12:40:06

since when did they have curry at McDonalds? YABU

Power crazed Loon.

We go through pots when we go. Ds has 3 tomato ones to himself!

Dick Really well as you can see grin

Tee2072 Thu 12-Sep-13 12:40:58

Shall we start a MN Campaign, SP?

We could tag it #MixYourDips.

It could be bigger than any other campaign to date!

Pat They always have. You ask at the counter and they produce the dips. Its called sweet curry

Lets do it Tee

We will be asked on to the This Morning sofa in no time!

MumOfAPickle Thu 12-Sep-13 12:43:58

The one we go to has big squirty things and little white pots which you fill yourself so you could cover yourself with bbq sauce if you so desired. Only ketchup & bbq though. I cannot comment on the availability of other dips...

kim147 Thu 12-Sep-13 12:44:04

Are you talking about those little packets of dips?

They would give you two of one kind but not two separate ones?

WTAF?

The mind boggles.

Mum that's what is in this McDs but you ask for other dips when ordering food.

Kim You are correct. I dont think you are allowed more than one each either but as I was with my son I got two.

Little do they know that the toddler doesn't want it grin
