Who over the age of 10 would want a poorly rendered Bratz doll on a bag or jumper!!!?

Please someone tell me this is a satire Angry

YANBU. I have seen people with these - they seemed to be a popular end of term present in July. The image would be a caricature of the teacher it was bought for. It's not my thing but some people like them

Nope, they send them to all the z list celebs as free advertising, Chantelle Houghton and Denise Welch have been snapped a few times with one.

They're beyond tacky and there's loads of copies on facebook

Our nanny has got one, and I love it - whoever did the characature of her (from her photo, I gather) has really caught her looks and personality.

Maybe you need to know the person being characatured?

a former olleague sells them on fb - she started her own business - she seems to do them to order but I don't know if she is the designer or just sells them - I didn't realise that they were a brand Confused.

I thought they were for teens?

Hmm, my almost 3 year old would like it I suspect, she is already pestering for a pair of lelli kellies. Me, not so much. I would find it pretty cringy to carry a bag with a cartoon of myself on it.

I thought they were for children to carry their dance stuff in. Blush

Gawd, I vaguely know someone who makes these. I didn't realise they were a "thing".

Someone on my Facebook invited me to a Claireabella Party earlier this evening. I had no idea what the heck it was, now that you have enlightened me I shall return and defriend her!

Er what? It's not a joke?

It's a tesco jute bag for life with a cheap dolly stuck to it. Surely they are joking? It is made by toxicfox if that's a clue?

Frank I was about to have a rant about these on FB.

They are shuddersome but I am sure I offending perfectly nice people by being so horrified by the very idea of such an item. [shrugs] What you gonna do - I saw the advert and was actually angered by it - quite refreshing - you think you have seen it all - too jaded to really be affected by a crappy advert ... then this comes on... I need [tea]

More offended bt the price - just looked on ToxicFox and the large ones are £39.99. They really are having a laugh aren't they?

They have been all the rage in the North West for a couple of years now! I remember my Mum picking up on the trend (she is nearly 80! Bless her) and asking if DD (then 14) would like one!

She said "No Thank you" Wink

Beyond hideous.

off the toxicfox website:

each and every one of these bags is made to order by a ClaireaBella trained artist here in the UK

They are really popular around here. There are quite a few different places which sell them. I don't like them personally but I know a whole family who have them, gran, mum, dc's and dneices

I love them, only the real claireabella ones though the knock offs are crap.

My dds have the hoodies with them on there very cute.

Me and my friends used to draw caricatures like this in high school!

They were shit then and are shit now.
If it was teenagers drawing their own bags then yeah, that's quite cool. But I wouldn't be seen dead with a naff shopper with a 'glam' picture of 'me' on it.

Boke worthy

They are truly hideous, but I am strangely drawn to them. Oh shit.

Report
MackerelOfFact · 10/09/2013 06:06

They are hideous, but I guess they are moderately less monstrous than the nylon bags with the printed 'cute' dalmatian/kitten/chihuahua/westie with diamanté collar that seemed ubiquitous a few years back.

But yuck. How anyone could get that freaky, vacant-expressioned doll thing to look like them I have no idea.
