to think that you shouldn't have 8 children if you are incapable of controlling them?

I have just watched an episode of in tge night garden where Mr and Mrs pontypine ( sp?) take their 8 children fora walk. Mr and Mrs pontypine were kissing snogging behind a rock. Their children climbed a tree and wouldn't come down.

Mr and Mrs pontypine had to go home without tge children ( again)

Aibu to think that maybe they should have stopped at 2 as they seem to have trouble controlling 8 children and have had to abandon them on multiple occasions? ;)

I think the real issue here is the children being abandoned. No wonder they don't respond to their parents if they are left alone stuck up a tree hmm

FreudiansSlipper Fri 06-Sep-13 09:56:14

good luck op smile

but yes there are many families that have more children that they can deal with

PelvicFloorClenchReminder Fri 06-Sep-13 09:58:10

Well, the Pontypine children are all the same size so it wouldn't be unreasonable to assume that they are octuplets. How would Mrs P have stopped at two when there's 8 of the little chaps all whooshing out at once?

If I had octuplets, I'd probably be hiding behind a rock too.

I only have two, and I sometimes feel like hiding behind a rock! shock

my concern is those rogue neighbours in the blue.. The wottingers.

I don't see them for weeks, Then.. when they do suddenly appear, they copy everything the pontypines do, almost to a T and expect all the kids to entertain themselves. Mostly, if not always- the kids get lost..go missing. . and why must they count? Surly they can recognise their own children without needing them to return home via the chimney in numerical order? I think there's something dodgy about those neighbours.

Well I'd be wondering what doctor allowed her to carry eight to term really.

FrigginRexManningDay Fri 06-Sep-13 11:19:06

They probably receive benefits too and take all the school places. They are a scourge on society.

wink

Agree that the mum and dad are pretty feckless. Overpopulation is an issue and I dread to think how much Child Benefit and Child Tax Credit the parents claim.

It's Makka Pakka I feel sorry for. They keep him in a cave and make him wash everyone. Disgusting

FrigginRexManningDay Fri 06-Sep-13 11:34:01

Bet they rcieve housing benefit and free school meals too.

SPBisResisting Fri 06-Sep-13 11:34:13

Ehat are the chances of two families of octuplets living next door to each other? Must be billions to one surely. Theres something very fishy therre

Don't be such a meanie. Imagine the trip to clarks at the end of august!

I have to confess, I live to hear Derek Jacobi singing, "IIIII'm the only upsy one!"

juneybean Fri 06-Sep-13 11:36:46

Makka Pakka is on workfare AFAIK

Bowlersarm Fri 06-Sep-13 11:37:01

You wouldn't know you couldn't cope with them, until you had them, and knew you couldn't cope with them smile

FrigginRexManningDay Fri 06-Sep-13 11:39:46

SPB paid for by the taxpayer. They don't enough have their own beds. Where is the money going, that's what I want to know.

FrigginRexManningDay Fri 06-Sep-13 11:40:10

Even not enough

ShadeofViolet Fri 06-Sep-13 11:40:16

But they must be doing something right because they are very clever.

When the Og-Pog runs away, they are the only ones who can work out how to stop it.

grin juney

grin at the whole thread.

LookingThroughTheFog Fri 06-Sep-13 11:44:11

Personally, I think Iggle Piggle sets a poor example. Not going to bed every single night? It's not cute or funny. Get the fuck to bed, Iggle Piggle, and for the love of god make sure it's your own bed and not some tramp who feels the need to wheel her bed around for sudden laying down emergencies. We all know what that sort are called.

Makka Pakka is so sweet and lovely, is he? It was so worrying when he had a problem with his trumpet. Upsy Daisy had to raise her skirt and do a special dance. Then Makka Pakka vigorously shook his trumpet and something came flying out of the end. Happy ending! smile

Lookingthroughthefog- are you saying that Upsy Daisy is Tax Free On Her Back??? shock shock shock
