AIBU?

to set up a mini kitchen in my bedroom?

i'm thinking of the colder months coming in. I normally end my nights huddled under a blanket in the living room clutching a mug of tea and fending the dog off my packet of biscuits. for the past few years my bedroom just hasn't been a welcoming comfortable room due to me having moved a couple of times and never really properly unpacking everything or adding any personal touches to it. but now i'm getting all that sorted and making it really homely and was thinking this evening how nice it would be in the winter months to have a kettle in the room so I could slurp tea in bed all evening. and then I thought, well I could keep a wee biscuit tin up there aswell and get a minifridge for milk and some cheese and water. but am I now verging on the social recluse end of the scale? i'm single and already have a cat? is it too late for me? You'll need a toaster too, for toasted tea cakes with your cup of tea Grin

ah catsize- I had considered a teasmaid but wondered if was just a step too far into the 'old before my time' category?

ooh toaster yes!! good point and will make the minifridge more justifiable to keep the butter in. I suppose i'd need a bit of a cutlery drawer and a breadbin too?

they do a one big slipper that the whole cat fits into, rather like a padded sleeping bag sort of thing. the idea being that their body snuggles into it and their head poke out the top looking all cute and cosy. of course my lady wouldn't humour me for a photo op. Grin

I had a set up like that when I was a student, mini fridge for my milk and a coffee machine, I never had to get out of bed (except for toileting and water collecting) it was bliss!

and as a special treat order a takeaway to eat in bed, now that is really being lazy the rest is just being practical

Could you just move the bed into the kitchen? Grin then you could do bacon in bed too
