AIBU?

..to go a bit swoony over my A&E doctor?

I had to go to the hospital (with what turned out to be a minor issue) and found myself gazing into this handsome young doctors lovely green eyes while he examined mine. I nearly swooned when he listened to my heart and tested my reflexes Smile

I have in the last year or so found myself daydreaming about one or two men who have crossed my path. I had a lovely crush on our gorgeous choir-leader which made singing even more fun than usual!

Is this type of thing common in women of my age, nearly 40? I would never even think of acting on any of these feelings and i am very happily married to a wonderful DH, it's just a little schoolgirl type crush that puts an extra spring in my step.

Anyone else feel the same sometimes?

Nothing wrong with a lighthearted crush.

I generally have several on the go.

i saw a very sexy handsome doctor a few years ago. im sure he knew i fancied him as i kept blushing at everything he said and kept giggling in a very girly manner Shock so unlike me!

unfortunately... i was there because he needed to stick a camera up my nose to see in my throat Blush

though tbh... im just glad it wasnt fanjo related Grin

Pleased to hear i'm not the only one Squoosh!

I dont think i could cope with several though, i come over all unnecessary when our choir-leader says, "Everyone look at me now," and i'm already gazing at him Blush

Exactly, InLove, i kept giggling at my doctor and when he had to test my grip and reflexes by asking me to hold his hands, i blushed to the roots of my hair!

Over the past week or so I've seen several men on the street who I've thought "yep, I definitely would." And not just a 'if you had to chose one man in this room' scenario, just random hot men. It's one of life's great pleasures. I'd have swooned if I had a hot doctor.

Actually, I have a minor crush on a friend's husband. Well, before that sounds too bad they aren't particularly a friend, just another mum in my town I see occasionally, and it's not a real crush, just an awareness that if I was single and I bumped into him, I'd fancy him. Also he has an incredibly hot job, I suspect it's that more than how he looks. I've always wanted to have my wicked way with a detective...

I seem to be attracted to capable men, Thurlow, or ones who have a particular skill. I don't necessarily want them to take me now, but i do admire them from afar!

My DH has a specialised job and is v intelligent but his job doesnt encompass that, "i can take care of this situation" thing that a doctor (or a detective) can muster!

The most attractive doctor I have ever seen was the one who sewed up my episiotomy after I gave birth. He and DH sat at the bottom of the bed and chatted football while my fanjo was put back together. I just gazed dreamily in a pethidine haze at the doctor.

I had an appointment with a locum once. I am married, and he was many years younger than me. He was georgeous looking, and had a great personality. I was his last patient of the day, so he was chatty. I asked him why he was a locum. He said he was en route to NZ to be a doctor after his honeymoon with his fiance, and she had broken off the engagement, poor chap.
If my own DD was a couple of years older, I would have been ready to introduce her on the spot!

I had a lovely young Dr examine me. Unfortunately he was a gynaecologist Blush. He told me I had the largest womb he'd ever seen and I took it as a come on compliment Hmm

Ooh, yes, how well I remember the kind, handsome Italian surgeon DS had 2 years ago. A welcome distraction from the hell of poorly babies. And so well-dressed.

I have a crush on my dentist. Definitely a school girl type crush. I swear I blush when he says 'open wide'.

...Although probably for balance, I should now reveal that once, when I was in A&E, the doctor on duty was positively plain. I don't know what I pay my NI for!

I have a massive crush on a GP in or Surgery. We have had mutual blushing sessions for years.

Then he went off and married whilst I was separating and of course this is the only reason we are not together. Hmm

I used to have the cutest optician and really looked forward to him being right up in my personal space, but then the bugger got moved to the sister surgery - too far away Sad

Yanbu, I was treated by the most gorgeous dr in a&e last year. Sadly I was pregnant and on the only warm day of the summer I looked like a freshly boiled lobster. My sister asked what he was called, I said I wasn't looking at his name badge!

A chap in our London office has the super power of managing to stop me speaking coherently. AND I twiddle my hair when I'm on the phone to him.
