To say Quick! Before the IPOAT ice house begins to thaw and HRH's head melts unwontedly?

<hopes this works better than the last attempt. chips ice feverishly>

Latara Wed 03-Jul-13 10:08:12

I don't know what IPOAT is but i'm curious..!

Fiderer Wed 03-Jul-13 10:11:17

I offer my freshly perfumed fingers to aid any re-ringletting that may be necessary.

The distillery herb-drying shed is open but I think a stock take is in order. Some possets need drinking up and our summer tisanes are in fine condition.

Hullygully Wed 03-Jul-13 10:16:01

Keep your perfumed fingers away from his head, Mistress Fids.

The ice house is saved. You may return to your herbs.

We are very low on juniper and mushroom tisane after the last sewing circle.

Fiderer Wed 03-Jul-13 10:20:15

As you will. I may bring by a hair unguent for the royal locks later.

For now I shall withdraw to the shed to select tisanes for the new thread.

ICBINEG Wed 03-Jul-13 10:20:47

I have, by means alchemic, obtained a goodly amount of the Devil's element.....we may now begin match production...or maybe something more sinister....

If re-ringletting is on offer, then I may avail myself of it. My auburn locks have lost their shine during the intense hours of urine boiling...and my eyebrows have been lost entirely.

Hullygully Wed 03-Jul-13 10:23:47

I thought you had lost a little of your lustre Miss Entropy-Mae. I wondered if it was the ague. You are too diligent in your scientific pursuits, they will quite unmaiden you.

You should spend the day tatting to rebalance the yin

Fiderer Wed 03-Jul-13 10:25:55

ICBINEG - is that you? <peers through boiling urine fumes> Our dear coat of arms tatter?

ICBINEG Wed 03-Jul-13 10:34:15

do not worry yourselves overly dear ladies, I am wearing, as always, my flame proof petticoat and corset (tatted from finest iron wool). So under all the smoking tatters of my dress and the ash skeleton of my bonnet, you will find me hale and even somewhat flushed with success...

I'll just pop to the stables and see if there is a nubile young horse boy who can douse me down....

Pagwatch Wed 03-Jul-13 10:39:52

<arrives on sleigh, wearing large red cloak and carrying this years mulberry sack bag>

Hello ipoaters!
How many years have passed. It has been a long time. Have you all been good?

<clutches Hully and licks her>

Why are we in an ice hotel?

ICBINEG Wed 03-Jul-13 10:40:33

Welcome to IPOAT hall Latara. Your calling card appears to be in order, so simply slip out of your everyday clothes and into some period dress (doesn't actually matter which period) and simply get on with what need doing...

There is always nourishment to be prepared in the face of adverse Cook conditions, box hedges to be topiaried (but mind the haha), stable boys to keep in hand, tisanes that need replenishing in the distillery herb drying shed, any amount of tatting and screen covering to be done and at the moment Lady Hully is attempting to cryogenically preserve the body and soul of the late King Charles....

Hullygully Wed 03-Jul-13 10:45:04

Just the head, dear, just the head. You are using the body for your ladyscience, are you not?

Dear Mistress Pag! How have you fared? Do you still keep the silver spoon you won at Monaco's Got Talent?

We are not in an ice hotel, tis just the ice house at the Hall, where we preserve his majesty's majestic head for reasons a little unclear.

ICBINEG Wed 03-Jul-13 10:47:47

<eyes the body of HRH - there's phosphorus in them their bones!>

I thought I was only allowed the contents of the royal bladder? If I may have the whole body, I will go fire up the furnace once more!

Hullygully Wed 03-Jul-13 11:39:28

He has no further need of his earthly corpus, we shall tatt him another, young vigorous and virile, or mayhap adhere his head to the stable lad Jonas once your ladyscience advances thus.

I have been reading of some marvel of nature called Lektricite. Mayhap we could reinvigorate HRH with this substance?

Minimammoth Wed 03-Jul-13 12:23:01

Who knows what mysteries lie in his DNA. We might unravel the answer to life the universe and everything. 42 just doesn't cut it anymore. Inspired by Hullys efforts, I have taken up taxidermy, I thought it may be a useful skill, should a melting happen. I am looking for any opportunity to practice.< modestly eager>

ICBINEG Wed 03-Jul-13 12:29:23

I have spent my entire siesta period developing a fool proof means to extract the royal genetic code into a readable tatted format....I have tested the procedure and have so far converted nearly 15 base pairs into a 5cm piece of lace. Maybe this project could be the focus of our next sewing circle?

We may need more thread.....oh and a new storage barn fir to hold 10 million meters of lace...

Oh, I think to catacombs under the house should suffice..

ICBINEG Wed 03-Jul-13 15:22:49

Ohh...I had forgotten the catacombs...although isn't the Other Thing still down there?

Fiderer Wed 03-Jul-13 15:38:42

<applauds ICE>

If the sewing circle need to focus I shall stop supplying them with the juniper and mushroom tisane for a while.

Mini - there are plenty of suitable subjects for your taxidermy practice in the Halls of Parliament.

Hullygully Wed 03-Jul-13 16:17:29

Not THE MINOTAUR?

<possibly a tad confused>

Fiderer Wed 03-Jul-13 16:20:57

About the catacombs or the Halls Of Parliament, Hully?

Hullygully Wed 03-Jul-13 16:25:22

the catacombs, what lurks therein? <racks feeble brain>

Fiderer Wed 03-Jul-13 16:33:28

The Deppymen? The Pirates? The Cook we claimed had ne'er been here after we read her recipe book?

The Husbands?

Minimammoth Wed 03-Jul-13 16:44:29

I heard there was a man down there wearing a weird mask. Pag, is that Brian Blessed I see pulling your sleigh?
Catacombs could be a real adventure who know what is down there < cue spooky music>.
