I don't know why anyone would spend that much (possibly wedding invites - can't remember how much we paid for them) but you certainly don't have to, so buy them somewhere else.

I just didn't realise they cost that much. These are for sale on a facebook general sellers page so in effect they are 2nd hand although unopened of course.

I paid £45 for 30 invatations for DS's party, I don't think it's UR at all. It is a personal choice.

I would, if I really liked them. I spent a couple of quid on each of my DS's christening invitations. It was a special occasion, they were beautiful and the £40 it set me back did not leave us short.

What kind of invites are they?

If they are bog standard invites that you buy in a pack from Sainsbury, then yes, that is crazy.

However, if they are hand made, individually crafted invites then that's actually quite cheap.

Personally, I really couldn't give a toss.

They were just the sort you might get from party people. Quite nice but nothing amazing. Not personalised or specially printed.

It doesn't sound that outrageous to me but mine ar 18 and 15 now and I remember thinking how expensive the invites were all those years ago. think I always did stingy party bags to make up for it
